Radiance Technologies, a 100% employee-owned company, is seeking candidates for the Defense Sector Technical Director to serve on the Defense Sector leadership team. This position requires a talented and experienced senior technical leader that will lead, direct, assist, strategize and develop organic growth and new business for a sector of over 400 employee-owners within the defense market. The Defense Sector Technical Director will advise on the technical direction for current and future programs; help mature sector technical capabilities (internal investment; technical fellow nominations, engagement, and contributions; and identify key business pursuits); manage technical conference attendance, presentations, and exhibits; and manage the inter- and intra-sector collaboration to ensure the most comprehensive capabilities of Radiance are brought to bear against customers technical requirements. These tasks include market analyses/assessments, RFI/proposal development, and capture planning. Moderate travel may be necessary to build relevant strategies, attend customer events, represent corporate capabilities, establish strategic partnerships, and identify opportunities for pursuit.

Responsibilities:
Work with 4 Vice President-level Group Managers within the Defense Sector to:
- Identify and develop strategic relationships with current and prospective customers with defense stakeholders within the Department of Defense (DoD), Intelligence Community (IC), and their Allies and Partners.
- Identify and develop strategic teaming opportunities across the defense, intelligence, and commercial industrial base, aligned to the sector and corporate vision.
- Perform comprehensive target customer mission analysis, including mission areas, budget, organizational relationships, contract vehicles, and current industry partners.
- Develop and execute technical maturation strategies that integrates current functional and mission capabilities, targeted future capabilities based upon comprehensive customer mission analysis, and technical growth areas to bridge current and future capabilities.
- Identify active and contributing customer-funded activities and proposed Internal Research and Development (IRAD) necessary for the technical growth areas.
- Assist Group capture and proposal solution architects in responsibilities and performance to ensure comprehensive technical solutions are identified and matured in a timely manner within the proposal development process and the technical solution is consistently represented across proposal volumes.
- Document and present current technical status, issues, opportunities, and path forward to the leadership team, Defense Sector Manager, and Executive Leadership as necessary.
Required Skills:
- Bachelor of Science in relevant engineering discipline.
- Post-Graduate professional certificate involving a relevant technical field.
- Master of Business Administration.
- Proven ability to lead, mentor, and collaborate with a multi-disciplined team.
- Demonstrated written and oral communication proficiency for complex technical concept articulation and presentation using architecture diagrams, oral presentations, and documentation.
- Experience producing strategic technical documentation and plans to establish technology maturation strategies and roadmaps, technical solutions, and operational concepts.
- Experience managing, mentoring, and growing technical personnel.
- Active TS/SCI Clearance.
Required Experience:
- Minimum 10 years experience supporting the DoD and/or IC community.
- Experience performing opportunity capture through performing opportunity identification, qualification, and pursuit.
- Experience leading, developing, writing, assessing compliance, and reviewing entire proposals (technical/schedule/cost) to ensure technical solution articulation and synchronization.
- Experience developing proposal schedule and cost volumes and artifacts (Basis of Estimate and Bill of Materials) using industry standard processes and tools (MS Excel and Project).
Desired Qualifications:
- 12+ years experience supporting the DoD and/or IC community.
- Proven knowledge of defense, intelligence, and commercial markets.
- Relationships across the defense, intelligence, and commercial markets.
- Demonstrated proficiency coordinating internal and external investment to establish innovative, mature capabilities aligned with customer mission areas and solicitations.
- Experience with Department of Defense customers (such as, but not limited to: USSF, NRO, Defense Research Laboratories, MDA, Service Intelligence Centers, US Army SMDC, Rapid Capabilities Organizations, and Navy customers).
