Position Overview:
Delviom is seeking a proactive Business Development Manager with 2+ years of experience to expand our federal business pipeline. This mid-level role is a mix of relationship-building and strategic support, working alongside the VP of Business Development to identify, shape, and pursue new federal business opportunities, as well as managing new and re-compete contracts. This Hybrid position requires both a solid understanding of federal acquisition processes and a strong commitment to building connections with potential clients and teaming partners, including attending industry events and conferences.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assist in crafting and executing strategies for pursuing new federal business and re-compete contracts.
- Work with the VP of Business Development through the capture process, from opportunity identification to contract award, ensuring alignment with strategic goals.
- Attend conferences, meetups, and industry events to build and nurture relationships with federal clients and potential teaming partners, enhancing Delviom s market position.
- Conduct research and competitive analysis to identify teaming opportunities and strengthen Delviom s positioning within the federal market.
- Build and maintain a database of federal opportunities to track pipeline status and foster ongoing relationships with government clients and industry partners.
- Collaborate with internal teams to support proposal development and submission, ensuring compliance and alignment with client requirements.
- Provide regular updates to leadership on capture efforts, tracking alignment with cost, schedule, and strategic goals.
Qualifications:
- Minimum of 2 years of experience in federal business development, ideally within government contracting.
- Knowledge of federal acquisition processes, including RFPs, RFQs, Task Orders, and RFIs.
- Demonstrated ability to conduct market analysis and develop teaming strategies.
- Strong organizational and communication skills, with a collaborative and proactive approach to business development.
- Willingness to attend industry events, conferences, and meetings to engage with clients and partners.
- Basic understanding of government contracting and proposal development processes.
- Experience with federal agencies or direct work with government clients is a plus.
