Summary/Objective
The responsibility of the Estimator/Project Manager is to provide and maintain overall direction of each project in a proactive and professional manner to include the list of duties below. Coordinate and properly communicate internally with other estimators, PM’s, superintendents, administrative assistants, accounting personnel and management to ensure all aspects of the project are being met. Coordinate and properly communicate externally with customers, consultants, and general contractors to assure all expectations are being met.
Essential Functions:
Estimating and take-off material, equipment and labor for:
Structural steel fabrication & installation
Miscellaneous metals fabrication & installation of stairs, railing, ladders, cage ladders, guardrail, bollard systems, mezzanines, gates, etc.
Prepare accurate and competitive estimates to bring in work.
Develop and maintain relationships with clients.
Plans, organizes, and directs the completion of specific projects while ensuring projects are on time, on budget, and within scope.
Acknowledges the project management life cycle of initiation, planning, execution, and closure to ensure the project is properly executed from beginning to the end.
Procures equipment and subcontractors.
Performs regular jobsite visits and attends job meetings.
Maintains and monitors job progress reports and jobsite records including daily reports.
Controls and reports job costs.
Resolves technical or contractual issues.
Initiates and manages change orders.
Ensure the customer's expectations are being met.
Be flexible and keep an open mind to change.
Estimating and running jobs and making the job profits required by Agar.

Ability and flexibility for frequent local travel is expected for this position.
Work Environment
This job operates in a professional office environment as well as on site at commercial, residential, construction and manufacturing locations. The use of computers, printers, cell phones, telephones, photocopiers, scanners, filing cabinets and fax machines is required. Other functions can take place indoors or outdoors, sometimes in high, precarious places with fumes and/or airborne particles. The work environment can contain loud to very loud noise levels associated with various equipment, coworkers, and phone conversations. Occasionally, work must be performed in high and/or cramped workspaces and awkward positions. The employee works around hazardous situations, materials, and equipment.
