We re looking for a Business Analyst (BA) to improve and accelerate our efforts to simplify and modernize our Salesforce platforms that include new functionalities to improve both the colleague and member experiences. The level of seniority will be assessed during interviews to level set expectations from AFCU and the candidate. As a business expert, you have a general knowledge of banking along with a deep understanding of customer/member relationship management, especially best practices. In addition:You are familiar with Business Analysis best practices related to elicitation and collaboration, requirements lifecycle management, requirements analysis & design definition, and solution evaluation. You have experience leading brainstorming sessions, ideation workshops and interview sessions; creating conceptual models, value stream maps and process diagrams; data mining and developing logical data models and data flow diagrams; and negotiating using MoSCoW or similar method for prioritizing requirements.You have a Product Mindset and familiarity with Product Management best practices related to Life Cycle management, OKR definition, outcome driven roadmaps. In addition, you will run discovery sessions by identifying pain points and user experience with continuous delivery in mind, create user Journeys, introduce design thinking to the organization and monitor product key performance indicators/metrics. This role belongs to the Salesforce Platform Office that aligns its Roadmap with AFCU Corporate Goals and Objectives. You will reinforce the priorities and support the goals and objectives of the business by aligning the development of requirements based on the milestones in the roadmap. You also work closely with the Development & Delivery team to ensure the requirements are well-understood, tested, and accepted by the business. If you are inquisitive and able to dive into details to understand current how business colleagues need and want customer/member information, can identify opportunities for improvement, will thoroughly document recommendations and requirements, will collaborate to get agreement and approvals, and enjoy working closely with business & IT leaders and project teams to deliver results then we re waiting to interview you!Job Details The Business Analyst (BA) is required to perform business analysis and requirements engineering activities as described below:Information Gathering and Roadmap DevelopmentGather various information (process documents, forms, system data, etc), dives into the details to better organize it, develops models, and other requirements-related deliverables to help AFCU determine what initiatives should be prioritized, and provide leaders an appreciation for the scale of changes that are required to be successful.Meet with leaders, SMEs, and various stakeholders related to customer/member relationship management processes to develop an approved roadmap that supports the objectives of multiple business areas that leverage the platform. Will identify and document weaknesses and gaps in current systems, processes, and data. Proposes and collects suggestions for epics, gains agreement about selection and prioritization of ideas/suggestions and performs activities to support /maintain the Salesforce Roadmap.Development and ManagementOwn the requirements development & management for approved initiatives as well as what is defined in the Salesforce Roadmap. They arrange and lead brainstorming and interview sessions to collect and document relevant information. They support solution development teams by clarifying or getting answers to questions, reducing ambiguity, resolving conflicting requirements, and addressing other issues with requirements. Include business requirements documents, use cases, user stories, data flow diagram and data models, and other artifacts that collectively capture functional (behavioral), non-functional, and data descriptive requirements that answer the questions about what a solution is expected to do and how it is expected to perform. Identify, prioritize (using MoSCoW or similar), trace, and track requirements; coordinate and communicate priorities and changes to requirements; resolve requirements ambiguity, and escalate problems with requirements where necessary. Acceptance and TestingPlay an important part in requirements development to develop, as best possible, the acceptance criteria for requirements so it is clear what it means to be Done .Perform User Acceptance Testing and may participate in development and review of some test cases and may assist execute some tests to ensure alignment of the delivered solution with original and current requirements. Liaise between Business and IT TeamsWill work directly with the VPs and operational management leadership that participate in customer/member relationship management to become better-educated about current business capabilities and become the primary liaison within the Information Technology department for defining how business systems should work to support, optimize, and improve customer/member relationship management. Tools and Best Practices Will contribute to selection and use of requirements management tools and help develop and improve business analysis and requirements engineering processes, guides, and best practices. The BA will also be an evangelist to reinforce use of best practices and help develop colleagues to become better at business analysis and requirements engineering tasks, improving the overall awareness and value of good requirements.Core ResponsibilitiesBecome the internal expert to provide the credit union guidance on best practices related to business intelligence, data and analytics, policies, procedures, and processes for customer/member relationship management activities leveraging the Salesforce platform.Conduct meetings to collect and accurately document results of business discovery sessions with internal stakeholders to identify needs and wants and the justification and value to support them.Create, review, and update current business process and data usage documents, identify gaps and areas of improvement, and obtain stakeholder sign-off for current and future states.Influence collaboration among all departments when cross-functional dependencies exist for business processes and procedures that need to be changed.Define and develop Business Requirements Documents, Use Cases, Epics, User Stories with clear Acceptance Criteria related to required changes to business systems based on alignment with product roadmap.Define the data, business intelligence, analytics and reporting requirements for all business areas relying on customer/member relationship management information in Salesforce.Assist various teams with requirements-related input that may be helpful to document changes from manual to automated processes, revise procedures, and help develop training material (when necessary).Support Business and Information Technology teams during UAT by resolving variances or misunderstanding of requirements.Coordinate communication for escalations and facilitate resolution of risks, issues, and changes related to the Roadmap, Backlog, Epics, and User Stories.Be familiar with Product Management best practices, gain additional skills and infuse them to the organization by having an influential mindset.May help supporting presentations for large audiences (more than 30). QualificationsBachelor s degree in computer science, information systems, business administration or other related field or equivalent work experience5+ years financial service experience, preferably at a credit union, focusing on improving customer/member relationship management business processes and data availability leveraging the Salesforce platform.3+ years business analysis experience creating visual-oriented documents such as value stream maps, process maps, data flow diagrams, and data relationship diagrams3+ years requirements engineering experience and be able to perform the following activities:Elicitation (e.g., Brainstorming, interviewing)Definition (e.g., epics, user stories, use cases, business requirement specification)Analysis (e.g., value stream mapping, business process modeling, data modeling, gap analysis)Change control (e.g., dependency and traceability matrices)Salesforce Administrator CertificationMust be comfortable dealing with and resolving ambiguityMust have excellent analytical, written, negotiation and communication skillsValuable Additional Qualifications:Salesforce Business Analyst or Advanced Administrator CertificationProduct Management Best Practices KnowledgeExperience working in an Agile environmentExperience with Atlassian (Jira and Confluence), MS Office (Word, Excel, Access, and PowerPoint), and Visio.Experience using video collaboration toolsets to facilitate remote working sessions.Systems Development and/or Project Management experience Affinity strives to maintain balance between our employees personal and professional responsibilities.
