Note: Hybrid - The Candidate must be able to work 3 days onsite and 2 days remote.
Must haves:
- A portfolio or example of previous work will be required
- Proficiency with design and prototyping tools such as Figma,
- User experience /content design and strategy principles, methodologies, and techniques, including accessibility, information architecture, research methodologies and techniques.
- Collaboration boards, empathy maps, user flows, wireframes, and mock-ups.
- A solid understanding of generative and evaluative user research assessment and how user research can be incorporated continuously in the digital product lifecycle
- Hands-on experience creating user research plans, recruiting participants
Description
Responsibilities:
- Create effective, user friendly and visually appealing interfaces.
- Design the overall functionality of the product to ensure a great user experience and iterate upon it according to user testing feedback.
- Create user interfaces for various projects, such as digital displays, publications, media, and other creative materials as required.
- Take a user-centered design approach and rapidly test and iterate designs.
- Conduct user research, interviews, and surveys to translate findings into sitemaps, user flows, customer journey maps, wireframes, mockups, and prototypes.
General Skills:
- Relevant experience in creating GUI designs based on user interaction and performance.
- Experience as a UX designer, interactive designer, UI designer, or similar role, designing for web and mobile applications.
- Proficiency with design and prototyping tools.
- Thorough understanding of the limitations and appropriate use of web development technologies.
- Experience in designing online programs with an emphasis on the emotional aspects of human experience.
- Experience in conceiving and conducting user research, interviews, and surveys, and translating findings into sitemaps, user flows, user journey maps, wireframes, mockups, and prototypes to create intuitive user experiences.
- Experience designing the overall functionality of products and iterating upon them in accordance with user testing.
- Ability to deliver wireframes, user stories, user flows, user journeys, mockups, and prototypes optimized for a wide range of devices and interfaces.
- Experience facilitating the client's product vision by researching, conceiving, sketching, prototyping, and user-testing experiences for digital products, optimized for a wide range of devices and interfaces.
- Skilled in identifying design problems and devising elegant solutions.
- Ability to make strategic design and user experience decisions related to core and new functions and features.
- Experience gathering user feedback to configure existing interfaces.
- Proven track record as a team player, meeting deadlines, managing competing priorities, and managing client relationships.
Desirable Skills:
- Knowledge of network security and network protocols.

- Human-centred design experience and expertise in developing and executing strategies that improve overall user interactions with digital products and services.

- Demonstrated experience creating design deliverables such as mood boards, collaboration boards, empathy maps, user flows, wireframes, and mock-ups.
