Associate, Java/Scala Developer

Morgan Stanley Services Group, Inc. seeks an Associate, Java/Scala Developer in New York, New York

Work closely with Business Analysts to gather and document requirements. Architect, design, and develop software in the Banking deposits space. Develop, test, and deploy complex applications needed by the Private Banking Group. Provide monitoring and support for software applications in production and non-production environments. Develop robust testing strategies for banking applications to ensure quality of deliverables in production environment. Participate in developing innovative proposals and solutions that can help the business gain efficiency and reduce risk. Create effective risk management tools and processes to mitigate risk to the clients and the firm. Perform performance tuning and develop enhancements to the applications to better manage scaling. Develop unit and integration tests as part of the automated test suites. Develop processes for automated CI/CD pipelines and DevOps tools. Work with Agile Scrum Masters and team to develop software using the Agile methodology.

Salary : Expected base pay rates for the role will be between $138,000 and $150,000 per year at the commencement of employment. However, base pay if hired will be determined on an individualized basis and is only part of the total compensation package, which, depending on the position, may also include commission earnings, incentive compensation, discretionary bonuses, other short and long-term incentive packages, and other Morgan Stanley sponsored benefit programs.

Requirements :

Requires a Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field of study and any amount of experince in the position offered or any amount of experience as a Technology Analyst, Technology Associate, Software Developer, or a closely related occupation. Requires any amount of experience with: Java; Springboot; sql; unix; Angular; git; vert.x; reactive programming; Splunk; Gradle; OpenAPI; Jenkins; REST; IntelliJ; Cloud; Azure; Jira; Redhat Tomcat; Python; JUnit; Mockito; Sonar; Bitbucket; Shell Script; Postman; JSON/YAML; JDBC; Spring reactive; and J2EE. Skills may be acquired during or after bachelor's degree program.
