Information Technology Analyst - Epic Template Builder 2572889

A leading medical institution is seeking an Information Technology Analyst - Epic Template Builder. The successful candidate will be responsible for creating, analyzing, and supporting provider and ancillary templates and serve as the subject matter expert for template design and build-through analysis of provider utilization reports. The ideal candidate has prior experience in scheduling and building templates within the Epic cadence environment.

Information Technology Analyst - Epic Template Builder Pay and Benefits:

  • Hourly pay: $55/hr
  • Worksite: Leading medical institution (San Francisco, CA 94158 - Hybrid, Must be onsite 4 weeks out of the year for 5 days consecutive)
  • W2 Employment, Group Medical, Dental, Vision, Life, Retirement Savings Program, PSL
  • 40 hours/week, 6-24 Month Assignment

Information Technology Analyst - Epic Template Builder Responsibilities:

  • Analysis, design, implement, maintain, audit, and evaluate provider and resource scheduling templates in Epic.
  • Facilitate and triage the priority of template change requests to determine the impact on standard workflows, decision trees, organizational standards, or system configuration.
  • Collaborate with clinic teams to ensure successful template optimization and maintenance. Proactively meet with operations managers to coordinate optimal template designs, ensure appropriate maintenance, and address any concerns. Resolve build issues in accordance with system template standards.
  • Evaluate different scheduling functionalities to enhance template design to improve throughput and/or access
  • Participate in user training in clinical software, hardware, and/or operating systems of limited complexity.
  • Develop training tools and user aids.
  • Troubleshoot and document moderately complex issues with clinical software, hardware, and/or operating systems.

Information Technology Analyst - Epic Template Builder Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in health care information technology, computer science, or a related area is preferred.
  • Epic certification is preferred.
  • Experience in scheduling building templates within the Epic cadence environment.
  • Working knowledge of departmental systems and procedures for documentation and reporting, with the ability to perform tests, and to analyze, and interpret relevant data.
  • Working knowledge of clinical applications systems and functions, including development, implementation, user support, maintenance, and system testing and evaluation.
  • Problem-solving skills, with the ability to quickly diagnose problems and develop multiple options for effective and timely resolution of issues and problems.
  • Interpersonal and customer service skills to collaborate productively on a team and to provide training and support to clinical providers and staff.
  • Detail-oriented, with demonstrated organizational skills and the ability to manage time efficiently, prioritize tasks, set schedules, and complete projects in a timely and cost-effective manner.
  • Skills in written and verbal communication, with the ability to convey technical information to clinical users in a clear and concise manner.

Information Technology Analyst - Epic Template Builder Shift:

  • Monday to Friday from 08:00 am to 05:00 pm.
