Project Overview
This is a 12-month project role working on site in White Plains, NY paying $52-72/hr (DOE)
This leading role will co-partner with program leadership and will support from start to finish the transformation of organization's current environment to a new ERP ecosystem. Project is a complex cross-disciplinary multi-year program designed to transform and modernize Finance, Accounting, Supply Chain and Human Capital Management.
The candidate s role will be ERP business transformation advocate with expertise in key business functions (Order to Cash, Procure to Pay, Record to Report, Acquire to Retire, and Hire through Retire) as well as technical expertise in configuration to support business processes. The individual should have the ability to bridge the business readiness capabilities of various functional areas with the systems capabilities to optimize usage of the platform. They will drive the initiative with all facets of the organization and have a macro view of the business needs with the ability to deep dive into various areas.
This role will report to the Senior Director of Business Value with a dotted line to both the Controller and Director of Value Services.
Job Functions & Responsibilities
Support developing a defined vision and a clear understanding of business needs and customized ERP strategies.
Strong knowledge of business functions (Finance, Accounting, Budgets, Procurement, Utility Billing and Human Capital).
Support the business units and functions across the Authority to ensure smooth execution of the program deployment roadmap.
Assist in determining the role each function and key business partner will play during the digital transformation and develop a strategy to achieve desired business capabilities.
Support program activities with business units, business teams and the IT team, ensuring effective communication.
Analyze and reengineer business processes to meet audit, financial management, and delivery objectives.
Contribute to defining best practices for program deployment and user training to ensure a consistent and efficient implementation process.
Collaborate with other domain specialists, data analysts and software engineers, to integrate Project systems with other business applications.
Identify existing inefficiencies, potential improvement opportunities, and critical differentiating business requirements.
Provide recommendations for process improvements and enhancements.
Skills
Demonstrated history of working in Business Transformation, ERP Implementation, Master Data Management, and enterprise Integration.
Strong and tested project management skills including stakeholder relationship management, sponsor expectation management, risk management, change management.
Understanding of data governance, management & quality.
Demonstrated expertise in data analysis, issue resolution, root-cause analysis, process improvement, and engaging teams across lines of business, functional/technical areas.
Ability to promote and maintain a positive and inclusive work environment with project team members, co-workers, management, and vendors by behaving, collaborating, and communicating in a manner consistent with professional standards.
Superior interpersonal, conflict resolution, and negotiating skills.
Demonstrated ability to handle broad-based, often complex, communication.
Demonstrated engagement with cross-functional teams to solve problems and implement changes, analyze decisions and actions for their support of the larger area's strategic direction; and work with senior management to resolve more complex problems.
Ability to do a deep dive into functional components and controls while simultaneously seeing the big picture and connecting all the dots.
Education & Certifications
Bachelor s Degree in a technical, finance or accounting discipline. An advanced degree is preferred.
10+ years of increasingly responsible experience, including experience successfully managing multiple ERP transformations.
