We are seeking a skilled Business Intelligence (BI) Developer/Administrator to oversee the creation and management of BI and analytics solutions, transforming data into valuable insights. In this role you will collaborate with your colleagues in Data Operations and Technology (DOT) as well as CHIA s business units to translate business needs into technical specifications and implement solutions to support CHIA s business needs.
As a BI Developer/Administrator, you will play a pivotal role in enhancing our business intelligence system to drive informed decision-making.
The BI Developer/Administrator is a key member of CHIA s software development organization and our DOT team reporting to the Director of Data Services. As a member of this team, you will have the opportunity to:
- Translate business needs to technical specifications.
- Design, build and deploy BI solutions as needed.
- Develop documentation and training materials as required to support our BI users.
- Maintain and support existing and/or new data analytics platforms.
- Maintain responsibility for tracking, managing, and reporting on key system metrics, including infrastructure capacity, hardware performance, security issues, backups, and changes.
- Perform necessary data analysis to deliver accurate and timely reports to senior team members.
- Define business requirements for reporting solutions including reports, dashboards, forms and specialized queries.
- Test and troubleshoot system issues as needed.
- Develop and update technical documentation.
Here are the important qualifications we are looking for:
- Bachelor s degree in computer science, information technology, or a related field.
- Possess a strong background in data and business analysis, along with analytical and communication skills.
- Have sound business understanding and problem-solving abilities.
- Should have experience designing and implementing the necessary semantic layer on top of Snowflake and/or Postgres databases in a MS Azure environment to provide our business users with an easy way to understand our data.
- Direct experience with healthcare data such as claims data and eligibility data a plus.
- Have demonstrable experience working with industry leading BI tools and technologies.
- Have appropriate experience leading a business wide BI solution implementation.
- Should have appropriate experience assisting clients in a consulting capacity, with implementing and using BI tools and technologies.
- Be able to think critically about our agency s business needs and objectives and recommend BI solutions that will help us achieve our goals.
- Can troubleshoot BI issues and problems and provide support to BI users.

Our hybrid approach allows you to work alongside your colleagues in our vibrant Boston office at 501 Boylston Street for at least two designated days per week, with the flexibility to work remotely on others.
- We value the talent and expertise you bring to the table, so we offer a competitive salary range of $90,000 - $110,000 for this position.
