Operations Specialist

We are looking for an organized and energetic Operations Specialist to join our team as a key player in operations process planning.

Department: Operations/1CC

Reports to: Operations Manager

Responsibilities for Operations Specialist:

  • Devising ways to optimize logistics operation process and inventory control procedures
  • Continuously improve utilization of WMS system in the organization
  • Prepare, analyze, update, and maintain logistical masters (e.g. material masters) in WMS
  • Coordinate projects related to WMS systems
  • Produce error-free month end closing data reports, review and present their results (e.g. time sheets)
  • Review operations reports, such as incident, productivity, and cost reports and work within the various teams to drive continuous improvement initiatives and support improvement in plant KPIs
  • Analyze data to anticipate future needs
  • Collaborate with warehouse employees and other staff to ensure business goals are met
  • Report to upper management on process issues, improvement point and system updates, etc.

Qualifications for Operations Specialist:

  • Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Logistics, Systems Engineering, Supply Chain Management, or related filed is preferred
  • Minimum of two years of experience in a similar role
  • Must be able to perform written and verbal communications in English
  • Experience working with inventory management software and forecasting strategies
  • Proven experience as inventory, logistics specialist or assistant manager or similar position
  • Experience in WMS, SAP development as logistics operation perspective
  • Excellent Microsoft Excel skills
  • Proactive critical thinking
  • Reliable and trustworthy
  • Outstanding communication and interpersonal skills
  • Excellent organizational and planning skills

This role routinely uses standard office equipment, including a laptop computer and cell phone. The employee is generally required to spend long periods of time sitting, typing, and working at a computer. May require the ability to occasionally lift up to 30 pounds and transport items. The estimated base salary range for the Bilingual Operations Specialist is $55,700-58,700. The salary range information provided is in accordance with applicable state and local laws regarding salary transparency that are currently in effect and may be implemented in the future. The range represents a good faith estimate of the range that GLOVIS EA reasonably expects to pay for this job at the time of the job posting. The actual salary paid to an individual will vary based on multiple factors, including but not limited to specific skills or certifications, years of experience, market changes, and required travel.
