We’re looking to expand our team with a dedicated and hardworking Sheet Metal Helper to assist with HVAC installations and related tasks in the Charleston, SC area.

The Sheet Metal Helper will assist in the fabrication, assembly, installation, and repair of sheet metal products and HVAC ductwork. This is a great entry-level opportunity for someone looking to grow in the HVAC and mechanical industry. You’ll work alongside experienced technicians to learn the trade and support project needs.

Key Responsibilities

• Assist in measuring, cutting, and installing sheet metal for HVAC systems.
• Help with assembling and installing ducts, fittings, and other metal components.
• Support in fabricating sheet metal parts using various tools and machinery.
• Carry materials and tools to job sites and help set up work areas.
• Maintain a clean and organized work environment, ensuring adherence to safety standards.
• Assist with inspections and testing of HVAC systems for proper installation.
• Follow direction from senior technicians and project managers to complete tasks on time.
  
  

Qualifications

• Previous experience in construction, HVAC, or sheet metal work is a plus but not required.
• Strong mechanical aptitude and willingness to learn.
• Ability to use basic hand tools, power tools, and equipment.
• Comfortable working in a physical job that requires lifting, standing, and working at heights.
• Ability to follow directions, work well in a team, and take initiative.
• Basic understanding of construction safety protocols.
