Air Transportation Data Analyst 1: Will demonstrate in-depth functional knowledge of AMC airlift operations and is highly proficient with utilizing GATES applications. An ideal candidate will possess over eight years of experience serving within an Aerial Port, Air Mobility Squadron, Air Transportation Function (ATF), or Contingency Response Wing (CRW) with routine exposure to manual and automated air manifesting procedures, pax service operations, anti-hijacking screening, mishandled baggage processing, and ITV systems to include- but not limited to- GATES, IGC, GDSS, e-APIS, and e-Secure Flight (eSF). An Air Transportation Data Analyst will initially possess a basic understanding of APS/AMS Data Records functions and will be trained to efficiently troubleshoot and/or resolve TWCF reconciliation requirements. An associate's or bachelor's degree is preferred, however, the OTS Team will prioritize logistics experience and/or the attendance of a 2T2/2T0 technical school. Air Transportation (2T2) subject matter expertise and intermediate computer literacy are paramount to promptly resolving manifesting, passenger vetting, workload reporting, and GATES-user issues experienced 24/7 by the global Port Dawg community.
Position Overview
Provide professional and functional subject matter expertise for operational end users in the Remote Manifesting Resolution Center (RMRC) and associated support tools for application functionality, related user productivity (e.g. optimization of workload and application utility) and end user assistance with maximizing In-transit Visibility (ITV) of real world and exercise passenger/cargo operations.
Duties and Responsibilities:
Within the RMRC, the Air Transportation Specialist will:
- Maintain cargo/passenger screening and manifesting applications in support of Air Mobility Command (AMC) Aerial Ports and designated USAF operational scenarios/locations where logistics personnel do not have access to automated In-Transit Visibility (ITV) systems
- Apply USAF Transportation (2TXXX) and/or global mobility Subject Matter Expertise (SME) to resolve general air manifesting, workload reporting, record keeping, and GATES-user problems experienced by the Air Transportation community
- Facilitate overall process improvements for data collection, input, analysis, reconciliation, and record keeping processes for Air Terminal Records and Reporting functions world-wide
Basic Qualifications:
- In-depth knowledge of USAF Aerial Port, Air Mobility, (APS/AMS) or Logistic Readiness Squadron (LRS) cargo and passenger movement operations
- Proficient using the Global Air Transportation Execution System (GATES)
- Familiar with In-Transit Visibility (ITV) systems that support global AMC operations
- Skilled with Air Freight automated and manual manifesting requirements
- Experience with Passenger Service Operations to include passenger anti-hacking/screening, manifesting, lost baggage, and Customer Identification Codes (CIC)
- Knowledgeable of Over/Short Shipment Reports, Monthly Station Traffic Handling Reports, and GATES cargo/passenger queries
- Understanding of Customs and Border Protection requirements for flights departing/entering the United States
- Basic understanding of Transportation Working Capital Fund (TWCF) and Air transportation billing/reconciliation requirements
