What We re Looking For

We re seeking a dynamic Senior Bookkeeper with NPO experience to join our team. The successful candidate will be self-motivated, organized, condent, deadline-oriented and excellence-driven. You re equally comfortable working directly with clients as you are overseeing junior staff.

Your attention to detail is second to none, and you re always looking for ways you can improve your clients nances. When it comes to technology, you re an early adopter who s passionate about nding a better, faster way to work. Experience working in cloud accounting is a must.

We offer the opportunity to work on a hybrid basis from our ofce in Vancouver, BC, or remotely if you are located outside of the Vancouver area.

What Your Day Looks Like

  • Complete le ownership, including regular video calls, emails, and meetings to assist with various back-ofce functions
  • Quality Audits to ensure files exceed quality standards.
  • Filing of GST/HST, PSB, GST322 and GST5321
  • Preparing nancial reports, and managing staff expenses
  • Working with clients to understand their back-ofce needs and be comfortable meeting on site or virtually
  • Reviewing and maintaining KYCs and implement process improvements as needed.
  • Reviewing work provided by junior staff, providing constructive feedback and enablement sessions
  • Assisting with one-off project work as required

What You Bring

  • 4+ years of experience in a related position, at least 2 of which you have worked directly with/for non-prot organizations
  • Post-secondary education from a recognized institution
  • Experience with bookkeeping, AR, AP necessary; full-cycle accounting preferred
  • Procient in accounting software, such as Xero, Quickbooks Online
  • Strong computer skills with experience in MS Ofce Suite and Google Documents
  • Experience overseeing and reviewing the work of junior staff
