Internship Overview:

Abrams seeks an enthusiastic book lover with a passion for learning more about digital and social media marketing and consumer engagement to join the Digital Strategy & Consumer Engagement team as a Spring intern!

The Digital Strategy & Consumer Engagement team is dedicated to setting digital, social media, and brand/licensor strategies across the Adult and Children s lists at Abrams and also oversees Amazon, D2C, and ecommerce efforts with an eye that s laser-focused on finding book consumers.


The Digital Strategy & Consumer Engagement Intern will work closely with all members of the Digital Strategy & Consumer Engagement team on projects spanning the creation, execution, and analytic analysis and reporting of both book specific and event driven campaigns.

Tasks may include creating, copywriting, routing, and organizing materials for social media, ecommerce and newsletter projects, coordinating mailings, planning for consumer shows and events including comic cons and literary festivals, participating in brainstorms for future campaigns, conducting audience research, assisting with brand and influencer campaigns, and updating and maintaining seasonal departmental organizational documents. This role will also assist in evaluating ROI on performance marketing campaigns and will receive training on how to maximize engagement to drive conversion.

This is an exciting and unique opportunity to gain experience in the field of digital marketing across both Adult and Children s publishing and learn the strategy behind building an innovative sales-driving campaign based in performance marketing tactics!

  • Be familiar with social media platforms and be curious about digital marketing tactics
  • Exhibit a keen eye for detail
  • Demonstrate strong organizational and time management skills
  • Possess excellent writing and communication skills

Required Skills

  • Proficiency in Mac OS and MS Office Suite, with strong knowledge of Excel and PowerPoint
  • Working knowledge of social media platforms including Instagram, X/Twitter, Facebook, YouTube and TikTok
  • Working knowledge of Abode Acrobat Pro
  • Knowledge of Adobe Creative Suite, Canva, and Mailchimp, a plus
