It provides a streamlined path to production, including open-source IP, pre-configured design flows, and affordable shuttle access.
Job Summary:
The Sales Director for ChipIgnite will be a highly motivated and experienced sales leader responsible for driving the adoption and revenue growth of the ChipIgnite program. This role involves developing and executing a comprehensive sales strategy, building strong relationships with potential customers, and managing a high-performing sales team. The ideal candidate will have a deep understanding of the semiconductor industry, a proven track record in SaaS or technology sales, and a passion for disruptive technologies.
Responsibilities:
- Develop and execute a strategic sales plan: Define and implement sales strategies to achieve revenue targets and market share objectives for ChipIgnite.
- Lead generation and pipeline management: Identify and qualify potential customers, build a robust sales pipeline, and effectively manage sales opportunities through the sales cycle.
- Customer relationship management: Establish and cultivate strong relationships with key decision-makers at target companies, ensuring customer satisfaction and driving repeat business.
- Team leadership: Hire, train, and manage a high-performing sales team, providing guidance, coaching, and mentorship to drive individual and team success. (If applicable, depending on team size)
- Market analysis and competitive intelligence: Conduct market research, analyze competitive landscape, and identify emerging trends to inform sales strategies and product development.
- Sales operations and reporting: Manage sales forecasting, track key performance indicators (KPIs), and provide regular reports on sales performance to senior management.
- Cross-functional collaboration: Work closely with marketing, engineering, and customer success teams to ensure alignment and effective execution of sales initiatives.
- Represent Efabless: Serve as a brand ambassador for Efabless and ChipIgnite at industry events, conferences, and customer meetings.
Qualifications:
- Proven experience: 8+ years of experience in sales leadership roles within the semiconductor or related technology industry, with a focus on SaaS or platform solutions.
- Technical acumen: Strong understanding of semiconductor design, manufacturing, and the overall industry landscape. Familiarity with ASICs, FPGAs, and IP cores is a plus.
- Sales skills: Demonstrated ability to develop and execute effective sales strategies, manage complex sales cycles, and close deals.
- Leadership skills: Proven ability to lead, motivate, and manage a high-performing sales team.
- Communication and interpersonal skills: Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to build rapport and establish strong relationships with customers and internal stakeholders.
- Analytical skills: Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to interpret data, identify trends, and make informed decisions.
- Education: Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, or a related field. MBA is a plus.
