Position Title: Project Manager
Location: Hybrid - 3 days a week onsite - DC
Payrate: 140k-160k / Year
Position Summary:
We are seeking an experienced Project Manager to join our team, supporting government projects with a focus on cloud-based technologies (Azure or AWS), CMMI-compliant processes, and Agile methodologies. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in managing large-scale IT initiatives and a proven track record of delivering complex projects on time and within budget. A PMP certification and a minimum of 7 years of relevant experience are required.
Key Responsibilities:
- Project Leadership: Oversee the planning, execution, and delivery of cloud-based projects, ensuring alignment with project goals, timelines, and budgets.
- Stakeholder Management: Serve as the primary point of contact for government clients, building strong relationships to understand their needs and deliver high-quality solutions.
- Agile Methodologies: Implement and manage Agile practices, such as Scrum or Kanban, to optimize team performance and project outcomes.
- CMMI Process Integration: Apply CMMI principles to maintain process quality and continuous improvement throughout the project lifecycle.
- Risk & Issue Management: Identify, assess, and mitigate project risks and issues, ensuring smooth project execution and minimal disruptions.
- Team Coordination: Lead cross-functional teams, including technical, QA, and operations staff, to ensure cohesive project delivery.
- Cloud Technology Oversight: Manage cloud-based projects on Azure or AWS, guiding technical teams to implement secure, scalable, and efficient cloud solutions.
- Project Reporting: Develop detailed project plans, status reports, and presentations for internal and client stakeholders.
- Budget Management: Monitor project financials, resource allocation, and expenditures, ensuring adherence to project budget constraints.
Qualifications:
- Education: Bachelor s degree in Information Technology, Business, or a related field. Master s degree preferred.
- Experience: Minimum of 7 years of project management experience, with at least 5 years supporting government clients.
- Certifications: PMP certification is required. Agile certifications (e.g., CSM, PMI-ACP) are a plus.
- Technical Expertise: Experience managing cloud-based projects using Azure or AWS.
- Methodologies: Strong understanding of Agile frameworks (Scrum, Kanban) and CMMI process areas.
- Communication Skills: Exceptional written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to present complex information to diverse audiences.
- Security Clearance: Eligibility for public trust clearance is required.
