Overview:
We are seeking an Operational Lead Project Manager to join our team and collaborate closely with our client. The Project Manager Lead will drive the successful execution of operational projects, aligning with client requirements to optimize program implementation and operational efficiency. This role involves developing detailed project plans from RFPs and proposals, establishing timelines, communicating progress to stakeholders, and coordinating resources to meet key milestones. The ideal candidate must be adaptable to changing priorities and able to lead complex, high-impact projects in a fast-paced environment
Duties:
Create comprehensive project plans based on RFP and proposal documents by defining project scope, goals, deliverables and resource requirements.
Create master schedule and project plan based on proposal documents. Work with BI on creating the Requirements Traceability Matrix (RTM) for IT requirements, schedule internal and, external calls with program resources.
Read and respond to RFPs.
Oversee new client program implementations and manage updates to existing programs.
Identify and escalate risks from project and functional dependencies to effective resolution.
Establish structure, encourage collaboration, and build consensus to ensure project success.
Organize and lead project calls with key resources.
Track project deliverables.
Conduct regular project status meetings, communicate updates, and provide timely reports on project status, challenges, risks, and resolutions
Manage project change requests and interventions to achieve project outputs.
Conduct project evaluations, assess results, document lessons learned, and execute follow-up actions from project retrospectives.
Monitor internal client requests and recommend solutions to increase team efficiency.
Hold key resources accountable to the project plan.
Ensure adherence to project management best practices, methodologies, and standards.
Collaborate with multiple departments and their leaders to drive processes forward.
Mandatory Skills:
Bachelor's degree in a related field.
4+ years of experience managing complex, multi-year projects to delivery.
Proven project management skills, including project planning, creation of the project plan, execution, monitoring, and control.
Prior experience in Medicaid financial management services
Adaptable to waterfall, agile, and hybrid project delivery.
Strong analytical, critical thinking and problem-solving skills.
Effective written and verbal communicator.
Knowledge of Microsoft Project or similar project management tools.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications, preferably with Excel, Word, PowerPoint, and Access.
Desired Qualifications:
Project Management Certification (PMP). May substitute certification for applicable experience.
