Key Responsibilities:
1. Program Planning and Strategic Alignment
Define the program's strategy, objectives, and roadmap, aligning SAP Group
Reporting with the organization's financial consolidation, compliance, and
reporting needs.
Develop a comprehensive project plan with clear scope, timeline, budget, and
resource requirements.
Set measurable KPIs to track the success of SAP Group Reporting
implementation and continuously align with executive stakeholders on key
milestones.
2. Stakeholder Engagement and Communication
Act as the primary point of contact for program stakeholders, including finance
leaders, executive sponsors, and IT teams.
Lead regular communications with stakeholders to provide updates on project
progress, risks, and issue resolution.
Establish a governance structure with clear roles and responsibilities, ensuring
effective decision-making throughout the program lifecycle.
3. Team Leadership and Cross-Functional Coordination
Manage a cross-functional team of SAP consultants, business analysts, finance
specialists, and technical experts to achieve program objectives.
Provide leadership, direction, and motivation to the project team, fostering a
collaborative and results-oriented environment.
Coordinate with external vendors and SAP partners to leverage specialized skills
and tools for program success.
4. Risk and Issue Management
Proactively identify, assess, and manage risks related to the SAP Group
Reporting implementation, including data integration, regulatory compliance, and
timeline constraints.
Develop contingency plans and implement issue resolution processes to
minimize disruptions and keep the program on track.
Conduct regular risk assessments and maintain an updated risk log to
communicate priorities to stakeholders.
5. Financial Oversight and Budget Management
Manage and track the program budget, ensuring resources are allocated
effectively to meet objectives and prevent cost overruns.
Report on budget status, cost efficiency, and ROI to executive stakeholders,
ensuring transparency in financial management.
Negotiate and manage contracts with third-party vendors to optimize costs while
maintaining high standards of quality.
6. Functional and Technical Solution Design
Oversee the design and configuration of SAP Group Reporting to meet financial
consolidation, data integration, and regulatory reporting needs.
Ensure the configuration aligns with best practices and organizational policies,
including IFRS, GAAP, and internal standards.
Validate and coordinate integration with other SAP modules, such as SAP
S/4HANA and SAP FICO, to ensure data consistency and compatibility.
7. Data Governance and Quality Assurance
Implement data governance processes to ensure accuracy, completeness, and
consistency of data within SAP Group Reporting.
Oversee data validation, cleansing, and transformation activities to deliver high-
quality financial reporting outputs.
Coordinate testing efforts, including system testing, integration testing, and user
acceptance testing (UAT) to verify system readiness.
8. Change Management and Training
Develop and implement a change management strategy to facilitate smooth
adoption of SAP Group Reporting by end-users.
Organize and lead training sessions, ensuring users are well-versed in SAP
Group Reporting functionalities and best practices.
Create and distribute comprehensive training materials, user guides, and quick-
reference documents to support ease of use.
9. Compliance and Audit Support
Ensure SAP Group Reporting is implemented in compliance with regulatory
standards and internal control requirements.
Support audit processes by providing necessary documentation and insights into
configuration, data handling, and user access.
Maintain compliance practices to align with evolving regulatory and
organizational needs, implementing periodic reviews and updates as needed.
10. Continuous Improvement and Post-Implementation Optimization
Lead post-implementation reviews to capture lessons learned, evaluate program
outcomes, and identify improvement opportunities.
Promote continuous improvement by incorporating user feedback and staying
current with SAP Group Reporting updates and advancements.
Plan and manage future upgrades, patches, or enhancements to keep the SAP
Group Reporting solution aligned with business needs.
11. Reporting and Performance Monitoring
Provide regular program status reports to executive sponsors, highlighting
progress, achievements, risks, and opportunities.
Track and report performance metrics to evaluate program success and identify
areas for adjustment as necessary.
Present final program assessments, showcasing the delivered value and ROI, as
well as recommendations for ongoing improvements.
Qualifications:
Education: Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Business Administration,
Information Systems, or related field; MBA or equivalent experience preferred.
Experience:
o 8+ years of experience in SAP program management, with a focus on
SAP financial modules, including Group Reporting.
o Demonstrated experience in implementing financial consolidation, data
integration, and reporting solutions, particularly within SAP environments.
Skills:
o Strong understanding of SAP S/4HANA, SAP Group Reporting, and SAP
FICO, as well as financial consolidation principles and regulatory
compliance (IFRS, GAAP).
o Proven leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills, with the ability
to manage cross-functional teams and communicate with stakeholders at
all levels.
o Proficiency in risk management, budgeting, and change management
strategies.
Certifications: SAP certification in Group Reporting or SAP Financial
Consolidation modules preferred; PMP or other project management
certifications are a plus.
