A large defense manufacturing company is looking to hire a Sr. Supplier Quality Engineer to join their team in Connecticut. In this position, you will be responsible for procurement and supplier development improvements and perform supplier audits, source inspections, and supplier performance analysis activities.
Supplier Quality Engineer Job Responsibilities:
- Use technical process expertise and experiences in circuit card assemblies to drive successful launch of supplied components
- Work with commodity suppliers on process and quality management system continuous improvement
- Collaborate with cross functional team members
- Participate in on-site assessment and evaluation of potential supplier manufacturing capability and quality system competency
- Perform component risk analysis based on design, manufacturing, and customer requirement complexity
- Assist in Product Realization elements of identified high risk components with the supplier to ensure quality requirements are adhered and start of production timing is delivered to project/change milestones
Education & Experience Requirements
- Bachelor s Degree in Engineering or a related technical field
- 5+ years of experience in CCA manufacturing or design
- Ability to understand military specifications and to read blue prints with GD&T background Experienced in problem solving with ability to provide training to suppliers as needed
- Ability to travel as required
