Allied Services Group (ASG) is growing and we are looking for a Patient Advocate to join our dynamic team. Our goal is to provide quality support to customers in the use and management of their insurance and non-insurance healthcare products, offering a simple and seamless experience throughout the member lifecycle. As a Patient Advocate, you will be the first member of our new advocacy department, providing enhanced medical claim and navigation services to members during their time of need.

As our Patient Advocate, you will support patients in navigating their healthcare experience by providing information, resources, and assistance through medical claims and navigation advocacy. The ideal candidate will possess a strong understanding of healthcare services, financial assistance resources, HIPAA and patient rights while demonstrating excellent communication and negotiation skills.
The Opportunity
Starting Range: $55,000-$60,000 per year.

The Opportunity
- You will assist patients in navigating the intersection of their purchased benefits and available advocacy programs, resources, or negotiating tools to help obtain care or reduce the costs of care already received.
- You will serve as a primary contact for patients, helping them understand their healthcare options and rights.
- You will facilitate communication between patients and healthcare providers to ensure patients receive the best outcome with their medical expenses and upcoming treatments.
- You will assess patient needs and provide guidance regarding financial assistance programs available for medical services.
- You will utilize CRM software to manage patient cases effectively, track interactions, and document outcomes.
- You will research and compile information about healthcare resources, assistance programs, and services that may benefit patients.
- You will negotiate on behalf of patients with insurers, healthcare providers, and financial assistance programs to secure the best possible outcomes.
- You will manage multiple patient cases simultaneously, ensuring timely follow-ups and effective resolution of issues.
- You will collaborate with cross functional teams to ensure patient-centered care and advocate for the needs of patients.
- You will maintain compliance with HIPAA and other regulatory guidelines to protect patient confidentiality and information.
- You have an educational or professional background in healthcare, social work, or a related field preferred.
- You have professional experience in a patient advocacy role or a related healthcare setting.
- You have knowledge of healthcare processes, healthcare insurance, and HIPAA regulations.
- You are proficient in using Dialers, CRM systems and other healthcare management software.
- You are technologically savvy and proficient in Google Drive, Sheets, Docs, PPT, etc.
- You have exceptional phone etiquette, customer service and interpersonal skills.
- You have a proven ability to negotiate effectively and advocate for patient needs.
- You have strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities and cases efficiently.
- You are a compassionate and responsible team player, with a commitment to patient welfare and empathy for diverse patient populations.
- Our office is located in Fort Lauderdale, Florida. We are looking for someone that can commute daily to our office.
- Typical hours are Monday through Friday, 9 AM-5 PM EST- However, this individual will need to be flexible with hours as you will be founding a new department!
Starting Range: $55,000-$60,000 per year.
