Alliance Technical Group is hiring for our commercial environmental laboratory in the Akron, Ohio area. Employees will have the opportunity to learn a variety of maintenance techniques, some of which are very rare in the environmental industry. This job is ideal for the candidate that wishes to develop new skills in electrical, mechanical, HVAC, and plumbing maintenance while working in an enjoyable atmosphere. There is ample opportunity to grow and develop as a professional in the environmental industry. Must have plumbing and HVAC experience.
Alliance Technical Group, a leading provider of environmental testing and analysis solutions, is seeking a meticulous and organized individual to join our team as a part-time Maintenance Technician. This position will be based in our Akron, Ohio facility.
Responsibilities:
- Perform and manage scheduled preventive maintenance for equipment.
- Update and oversee the preventive maintenance program.
- Troubleshoot and repair equipment; maintain and manage repair issues.
- Coordinate repairs with engineers and lab supervisors.
- Conduct electrical, mechanical, HVAC, and plumbing repairs and installations to code.
- Operate hand and power tools, ladders, cranes, forklifts, and other equipment.
- Keep accurate records and documentation.
- Maintain clean and orderly work areas.
- Follow all company rules, procedures, and policies.
- Perform other duties as assigned by the Lab Director or Lab Manager.
Requirements:
- Experience in electrical and mechanical maintenance, plumbing, HVAC, including motors, controls, power supplies.
- Minimum 3 years of maintenance and machine tool repair experience.
- Relevant coursework from high school, technical, or community college.
- Ability to read, write, and speak English.
- Ability to lift and move up to 50 lbs. and push/pull 75 lbs.
- Ability to follow instructions and work independently.
Pay Range:
Starting at $20+/hour, depending on experience.
