ServiceNow Programmer III

REMOTE
12+ month contract

Position Overview:

We are seeking a skilled and motivated Programmer III to join our dynamic team on a remote contract basis. This role, with an initial 12+ month duration, is responsible for designing, coding, testing, debugging, and documenting applications and their integrations. The Programmer III will work with cross-functional teams to support the development and enhancement of software systems, ensuring alignment with business needs and specifications. The ideal candidate will have a strong technical background, including experience with ServiceNow development and integration, along with the ability to contribute to all phases of the software development lifecycle.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Design and implement software solutions according to specifications, ensuring quality and functionality.
  • Develop, configure, and maintain applications and related integrations across systems.
  • Collaborate with engineers, technical architects, and other team members to meet business needs.
  • Perform troubleshooting, debugging, and testing of applications and integrations.
  • Modify and enhance existing applications to meet evolving requirements and improve functionality.
  • Ensure that developed applications are secure, scalable, and easy to maintain.
  • Provide technical documentation and support for applications and systems.
  • Stay up to date with industry trends and best practices in programming, application development, and integration.
  • Contribute to team meetings, sprint planning, and other agile processes.
  • Assist in the training and mentoring of junior developers as needed.

Minimum Qualifications:

  • 2+ years of experience in software development.
  • 1+ year of experience with ServiceNow development.
  • Solid understanding of document signing tools.
  • Proficient in Java programming language.
  • Experience with Integration and API development.
  • ICAgile Certification or Certified Scrum Master (CSM).
  • ServiceNow Certified Systems Administrator.
  • At least 1 Implementation Specialist and/or Application Developer certification.
  • CompTIA Security+ certification (Required for IT1 Administrators only).

Preferred Skills:

  • Previous experience working in an Agile/Scrum environment.
  • Knowledge of additional programming languages or frameworks.
  • Experience with cloud platforms and tools.
  • Strong problem-solving and analytical skills.
  • Excellent communication and teamwork abilities.

Additional Information:

  • This is a remote position based in the USA.
  • The contract duration is 12+ months, with the possibility of extension based on performance and project needs.
