Compensation: $120,000 to 150,000 (Based on experience)

Overview
We are seeking an experienced Data Engineer with deep expertise in Oracle Cloud Fusion, Oracle Integration Cloud (OIC), and database programming (PL/SQL) to join our team. The ideal candidate will bring 10-15 years of experience in data engineering, with a focus on transaction log management, real-time data processing, and cloud-based integrations. This role requires someone with a strong understanding of the retail industry (high-volume transactions), to work closely with business teams and deliver solutions tailored to domain-specific needs.

Key Responsibilities
- Data Engineering & Integration: Design, implement, and optimize data pipelines, focusing on real-time data processing, API integrations, and data flow between Oracle Fusion Cloud, Oracle Integration Cloud (OIC), and Oracle databases.
- Database Development: Develop and maintain database scripts using PL/SQL, focusing on transaction logs, data retrieval, and efficient database programming (non-DBA functions).
- Transaction Log Management: Handle transaction logs as a core component of daily operations, ensuring accurate and timely data extraction, transformation, and loading (ETL) for real-time processing.
- Oracle Fusion Cloud Integration: Leverage Oracle Fusion Cloud to build and manage cloud-based applications, data integration, and workflows, ensuring seamless connectivity between Fusion Cloud, Oracle databases, and other systems.
- Business Collaboration: Work closely with business stakeholders to understand domain-specific nuances, translating business requirements into technical solutions and ensuring alignment with operational goals.
- Optimization & Troubleshooting: Continuously monitor, optimize, and troubleshoot data systems and integration points to maintain system performance, reliability, and scalability in high-volume transaction environments.
- Documentation & Best Practices: Maintain clear and thorough documentation of data engineering processes, integration workflows, and system configurations to ensure transparency and knowledge sharing across teams.

Qualifications
- Experience:
- Minimum of 10-15 years in data engineering or related roles, with a strong emphasis on cloud-based data solutions, integrations, and Oracle technologies.
- At least 3+ years of experience working specifically with Oracle Fusion Cloud (must have experience beyond Oracle E-Business Suite).
- Solid background in Oracle Integration Cloud (OIC) for seamless data integration across cloud environments.
- Extensive experience in PL/SQL programming for Oracle databases (non-DBA), focusing on data manipulation, query optimization, and transaction processing.
- Retail Experience: Experience working in a retail environment: high-volume retail experience, dealing with large-scale transaction data.
- Transaction Logs: Experience handling and analyzing transaction logs, particularly in real-time transaction environments.
- Technical Skills:
- Expertise in real-time data processing, including API integration, data extraction, and communication between systems.
- Strong understanding of data modeling, ETL processes, and cloud architecture principles.
- Soft Skills:
- Self-starter with the ability to work independently and proactively solve problems.
- Strong communication skills and the ability to collaborate effectively with both technical teams and business stakeholders.
- Ability to adapt to new technologies and stay current with industry trends and best practices.
