WHAT YOU'LL BE DOING DAY TO DAY
As a Personnel Research Psychologist, you will use your knowledge of and experience of Industrial/Organizational Psychology to optimize business results and customer experience by:
- Research and benchmark best practices in industrial and organizational (I/O) initiatives and provides recommendations on innovative and practical solutions that support organizational needs and culture. Leads the design and implementation of complex Industrial and organizational (I/O) psychology initiatives in the area of Career Development.
- Plans and conducts needs assessments/competency modeling studies, by gathering information (e.g., interviews, focus groups, surveys) about duties and requirements of the position. Analyzes essential functions, tasks, and competencies. Writes a report documenting the results and conducts studies to determine the predictive effectiveness of existing tests for specific occupations.
- Prepares program guidelines and initiatives and acts as a subject matter expert and/or a recognized technical authority in the development and interpretation of industrial organizational research initiatives, cultural implications, and related ethical and social policies.
- Utilizes quantitative and/or qualitative analysis techniques including evaluative research methods and sampling statistics - performing univariate and multivariate statistical analyses using software such as Statistical Package for the Social Sciences (SPSS) and/or Statistical Analysis System (SAS).
- Prepares and presents briefing materials (e.g., technical reports, executive summaries, PowerPoint presentations) that communicate technical information to non technical audiences of all levels.
