Intern Overview
- 10-week paid summer intern
- Must commit to working a 40 hour week
- Must be an enrolled college student, meaning you have not yet earned your degree, during the summer of 2025
- Internship opportunities are available in area such as: Actuarial, Accounting, Finance, Human Resources, IT, Legal, Marketing, Operations, and Sales
- A successful intern must possess excellent communication and customer service skills, both oral and written, and have the ability to craft professional presentations and communication pieces. This candidate must be able to keep information in the strictest confidences, multi-task, handle multiple interruptions, and adjust priorities throughout the day.
- Participate in projects and programs designed to develop professional skills and expertise appropriate to the needs of the organization
- Support the business operations by performing administrative and clerical duties under the supervision of a direct manager or tenured staff
- Identify innovative ideas and solutions to maximize business opportunities to address challenges in assigned areas of responsibility
- Interact directly with colleagues, clientele, and/or other internal or external customers
- Receive guidance, training, and mentoring from company employees in planning and carrying out activities and assignments
- Performs miscellaneous job-related duties as assigned such as research and reporting
- Maintains accurate and well-ordered documentation to ensure Company and legal compliance standards are met.
- Strong organizational, detail orientation, and critical thinking skills
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to manage time effectively in order to meet deadlines
- Ability to maintain a high level of confidentiality with all information
- Ability to accept assignments and bring projects to completion
- Ability to work well under pressure, handle multiple interruptions and adjust priorities throughout the day
- Basic knowledge of Microsoft Office applications including Excel, Word, Outlook and PowerPoint
- Currently enrolled and pursuing a degree in a related area of business
- Sophomore classification or higher
- Cumulative GPA 3.0 or better
- A minimum of one year work experience
- Or equivalent military experience.
