Requirements
- Must possess an active Secret clearance.
- Bachelors degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, or closely related field and 0-3 years of prior relevant experience.
- Must be able to plan and prioritize personal tasking and be able to communicate effectively verbally and in writing.
- Must be an independent thinker, capable of performing high quality work, both independently and with a team.
- Programming skills in C/C++ or other languages for embedded microprocessor systems
- Ability to work in a collaborative, Agile/Scrum environment
Preferred Qualifications
- Professional experience in software development environment, which may include the following:
- Python, XML, HTML, Java Script, Perl, ASP, and/or similar scripting languages
- Windows, Linux, Unix, Solaris, VMS, RTOS and/or other operating systems
- LabView, ADA, C, C++, .Net technology, Java, Fortran, Assembly, Jovial, Visual Basic, Python and/or other programming languages.
- MIL-STD-1553B Bus Monitor functions and Communication
- A-10 avionics
- Experience in IBM Rational Team Concert and Microsoft Azure Dev Ops software
- Experience in Continuous Integration / Continuous Delivery Software Development
Primary Responsibilities:
- Support Operational Flight Program (OFP) software development and modifications by working with other personnel (engineers, equipment specialists, Program Managers, etc.)
- Research, design, development, testing, and maintenance of integrated computer software systems.
- Provide support utilizing languages such as C, C++, ADA and Java.
- Execute software projects with an understanding of full software design lifecycle from requirement gathering phase through production phase.
- Develop, modify, and maintain software applications for avionics, and support equipment.
- Work with a range of programming languages, tools, and platforms to ensure software meets operational and performance requirements.
- Perform testing and debugging to ensure seamless system functionality.
- Provide guidance to teams in solving complex technical challenges.
- Assist in the implementation of TOs and technical data
- Work in a collaborative, Agile IPT environment
- Other duties as assigned
Schedule
- Facilities are generally open 6am-6pm - you can work with your customer leadership to set hours
- You can flex time during the 2 week pay cycle - avoid using PTO for appointments
- You have the option to work a standard 5 days per week schedule or a 5/4/9 schedule which is sometimes referred to as a 9/80 schedule.
