Cybersecurity Support Engineer

Piper Federal is looking for a Cybersecurity Support Engineer to join a DoD IT consulting company. This position is based in the Wright Patterson Air Force Base with 1-2 days onsite week.

Essential Duties of the Cybersecurity Support Engineer:

• Provide systems engineering expertise in the design, integration, operation, and maintenance of cybersecurity infrastructure and capabilities.
• Utilize defense-in-depth strategies and methods to harden systems and networks (e.g. blocking/filtering, IDS/IPS, A/V, logical separation of management traffic, content detonation and automated analysis, and DISA SRG/STIG compliance).
• Maintain the establishment of infrastructure services supporting cybersecurity environments such as directory services in support of authentication, networking monitoring services, domain name services, virtual hosting infrastructure, etc.
• Penetration testing with red team and blue team.

Qualifications of the Cybersecurity Support Engineer:

• 5+ years of experience with Linux
• 3+ years of experience with IDS, IPS, and host based security solutions
• Must be able to obtain and maintain an active Secret or Top Secret clearance.
• Must of Security+ certification
• Linux+, CASP, and CEH are highly preferred certifications

Compensation for the Cybersecurity Support Engineer:

• $170,000 - $190,000 (based on experience)
