Description:
* The Senior Network Security Engineer will be responsible for developing, implementing, and managing a micro-segmentation platform and its associated infrastructure within a comprehensive Zero Trust Security framework.
* The role requires collaboration with multiple teams to ensure the secure and efficient operation of the platform and associated policies.

Duties and Responsibilities:
* Serve as the technical lead for micro-segmentation initiatives, coordinating with various teams to design and implement enterprise-class, application-centric solutions.
* Manage the multi-year implementation program for micro-segmentation, including policy automation through integrated platforms.
* Regularly review and enhance firewall rules to ensure identity-based access, environment separation, and external system integrations.
* Conduct capacity planning and ongoing governance of the micro-segmentation platform.
* Provide production support for escalated issues and collaborate on root cause analysis and resolution.
* Create and maintain comprehensive documentation, including standards, procedures, and system diagrams.
* Participate in an on-call rotation to provide 24/7/365 support for critical systems.

Required Skills:
* Bachelor's degree in a technical discipline or equivalent experience.
* 10+ years of experience supporting computer networks in high-stakes environments.
* Strong problem-solving skills and experience conducting root cause analysis.
* Familiarity with system administration (Windows and Linux) and basic scripting/automation.
* Proven success in implementing micro-segmentation platforms such as Akamai Guardicore, Cisco Secure Workload, or similar technologies.
* Experience managing perimeter firewalls and related systems.
* Strong communication, time management, and organizational skills.

Desired Skills:
* Experience with network policy enforcement and integration with external systems like identity management platforms.
* Familiarity with tools like Cisco ISE and network management systems.

Compensation:
$119000K - $170000K
