The Facility Project Manager will be responsible for managing multiple Capital Construction & Facility projects as Abiomed grows our footprint and capacity. The Project Manager will have regular interaction with Operations leadership, external and internal facility and construction customers.

Job Responsibilities:

Provide project management for upcoming capital expansion projects, including: fulfillment center fitout, cleanroom expansions, lab expansions, office space expansion, and other capital building upgrades

Liaison with external construction managers and other external project partners

Track facility and EH&S projects related to J&J Integration improvements

Manage other projects as they arise in any of our US locations including Danvers, MA, Woburn, MA and Baltimore, MD

Prepare a weekly tracker and report for updates to the management team of all projects

Sets deadlines, assigns responsibilities, monitors and summarizes progress of projects

Coordinate all purchase orders for projects and assure accurate invoicing to manage project budgets at a detailed level

Prepare PowerPoint report outs and presentations as needed to support the COO

Provide support on special projects, as well as provide assistance to all departmental colleagues

Qualifications

Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree required
  • 8+ years of prior project management experience - must showcase experience with construction projects specifically
  • Able to work independently and handle a wide variety of situations, including conflict resolution and troubleshooting issues
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Project, Word, PowerPoint, Excel, and Outlook) is required
  • Excellent verbal/written communication, organizational, prioritization, time-management skills and attention to detail required
  • Must have strong initiative, self-motivation, high standards, and a strong work ethic
  • Demonstrate a professional, positive, and approachable demeanor in working and effectively communicating with a diverse group of people
  • Exercise discretion, judgment, tact and poise in handling highly sensitive and confidential information
  • Ability to travel up to 10%, as needed to support projects
