This is how you will grow:
As an Operations Manager (OM), you will oversee day-to-day operations for Third Party Contractor provider and ensure the smooth functioning of all aspects of our business. The OM will be responsible for optimizing processes, managing resources, and driving efficiency ensuring the seamless integration of software updates into control units prior to installation in our Chattanooga assembly plant. This role requires strong leadership skills, strategic thinking, and the ability to effectively collaborate with cross-functional teams.
- Required to attend weekly team meetings to evaluate project details and asses overall upcoming work scope. This ensures their active involvement in decision-making and problem-solving discussions.
- Management of defined Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) determined by Volkswagen.
- Report to Volkswagen when problems with parts and/or process issues are found. Escalate to Volkswagen CV-EP management when problems are not addressed in a timely manner.
- Provide Daily Activity Report in team meeting, or during shift start meeting.
- Develop and monitor corrective actions with regards to discipline for TPC personnel.
- Establish and maintain staff list and contact information to ensure transparency within the team and facilitate effective communication.
- Accountable for reporting information during VW audits, and addressing any identified issues or discrepancies.
- Assist in the creation of production downtime reports for topics related to software steering. This involves assisting in the root cause analysis, as well as developing corrective actions and implementation.
- Maintain and build flash adapters to ensure volume can be maintained.
- Approval of PTO for TPC personnel.
- During times of reduced staff assist with flashing parts, or updating and managing material in SAP.
This is how you will take us forward:
- Fluent English verbal and written
- Minimum of 5 years experience in vehicle electric and electronics
- Minimum of 3 years experience with software updating on a bench or in car
- Strong knowledge in MS office (Excel and PowerPoint)
- Ability to read and understand wire harness diagrams
- Management or Team Leader experience
- Strong analytical skills
- Knowledge in Python coding language preferred
- Experience with Automotive Manufacturing Process preferred
- Experience in business case calculation preferred
- Experience with SAP a plus
