Test Technician

Monday-Friday, 1st and 2nd Shift Available
Delaware, Ohio (onsite)
What the position offers:
- Shift flexibility, but usually starts on 2nd
- 1st Shift Monday-Friday 6:30a-3:00p ($30/hr)
- 2nd Shift Monday-Friday 2:30p-11:00p ($31/hr)
- Mandatory overtime if needed (paid time and a half for OT)
What you ll be doing:
- Assess product evaluation against NEC and UL/CSA standards, review order write-ups, and ensure product quality
- Perform testing and troubleshooting of power conversion equipment prior to shipment
- Conduct tests using measuring instruments and computer test programs, documenting results accurately
- Collaborate with Test and Manufacturing Engineers on test equipment development and modifications of test work instructions
- Read and interpret test procedures, perform strength, durability, and maintainability tests, and prepare detailed reports
- Install, diagnose, service, and repair electrical equipment, configure system equipment, and conduct preliminary inspections and tests
- Use hand tools and test equipment, read wiring diagrams, and repair electrical circuits to ensure proper operation
- Detect and fix issues such as excess vibration, overheating, fluid leaks, and non-functioning parts, ensuring units are operational at the time of shipment
Who we re looking for:
- Associate s degree in electrical/mechanical engineering
- OR equivalent training from a two-year technical school with an emphasis in electrical applications
- OR combined knowledge and experience to equal two years
- Beginning level of computer skills with knowledge of MS Office products such as Word and Excel
- Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions, write short correspondence, and effectively present information to others in English
- Knowledgeable in the use of the following equipment: hypot tester, multimeters, wave and power analyzer, and oscilloscope
- Must be able to read electrical and mechanical blueprints
- Must have experience with high-voltage testing
- Safety-toed shoes are required, must be composite, not steel
