Position Overview:
We are seeking a seasoned Project Manager with deep expertise in SWIFT payments and Capital Markets products. The candidate will be managing large-scale financial services projects, with a specific focus on SWIFT payments, the trade lifecycle, and technology initiatives within capital markets. This role requires a strong background in financial services, particularly in payments and capital markets, and experience driving complex technology projects from initiation through completion.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead end-to-end project management for payments-related initiatives, ensuring projects are delivered on time, within scope, and within budget.
  • Manage cross-functional teams, stakeholders, and external vendors to ensure smooth project execution.
  • Oversee projects focused on SWIFT payments, aligning with regulatory and compliance requirements.
  • Drive process improvements and streamline the trade life cycle, ensuring operational efficiency.
  • Collaborate closely with technology teams to design and implement payment systems and solutions.
  • Ensure alignment with business objectives, regulatory standards, and risk management practices.
  • Develop detailed project plans, timelines, and resource allocation strategies for capital markets and payments-related projects.
  • Maintain regular communication with senior management, providing updates on project progress, risks, and mitigation strategies.

Qualifications:

  • 10+ years of experience in project management within the financial services industry, with a strong focus on SWIFT payments and Capital Markets
  • Demonstrated experience with SWIFT payments and deep understanding of the payments ecosystem.
  • Solid knowledge of the trade life cycle and related capital markets processes.
  • Strong technical acumen with the ability to collaborate with technology teams to implement solutions.
  • Engage and manage communication with a wide range of internal and external stakeholders, ensuring clarity of objectives, risks, and progress.
  • Proven track record of delivering large-scale projects in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
  • Excellent leadership, communication, and stakeholder management skills.
  • Bachelor's degree in finance, business, technology, or related field. MBA or PMP certification is a plus.

Preferred Experience:

  • Previous experience managing projects in financial markets.
  • Familiarity with ISO 20022 requirements impacting SWIFT payments and Capital Markets
  • Strong understanding of capital markets technologies and their integration with payment solutions.
