  1. Make sure the webpage is open.
  2. In the Safari app on your Mac, choose Safari > Preferences, then click Security.

  4. Click Websites.
  5. On the left, click Content Blockers.
  6. Make sure Off is chosen in the pop-up menu next to the website.
  7. On the left, click Pop-up Windows.
  8. Make sure Allow is chosen in the pop-up menu next to the website.

DataStaff is in need of a Programmer Analyst for a long-term contract opportunity with one of our direct clients in Richmond, VA.
*This position is hybrid; the selected candidate must work onsite 3 days per week.

Our client is looking for a skilled Web Application Developer with extensive experience in R programming and ShinyApp.io to to design, develop, and maintain data-driven web applications that leverage R. The ideal candidate's primary responsibilities will be designing, developing, and maintaining data-driven web applications that leverage R for statistical computing and data visualization and also occasionally support/bug fix our existing tools designed and developed utilizing Angular and Python. This is a great opportunity for developers passionate about using R and web technologies to create impactful, user-friendly applications!
Responsibilities:

  • Develop interactive web applications using R and ShinyApp.io.
  • Collaborate with data scientists and analysts to create intuitive user interfaces and dashboards.
  • Optimize application performance and ensure responsiveness across different devices.
  • Integrate R-based applications with APIs, databases, and other data sources.
  • Provide technical support and troubleshooting for existing web applications.

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:

  • Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to work independently.
  • Experience with version control (e.g., Git) is a plus.
  • Strong communication skills.

Required Skills:

  • 5 Years - Proven experience in R programming
  • 5 Years - Considerate web development experience using ShinyApp.io.
  • 5 Years - Excellent verbal/written skills for documentation and training processes

Desired Skill:

  • 3 Years - Experience with AWS, CSS, and JavaScript for UI/UX design.
  • 3 Years - Experience with Web/Angular and DB/SQL, and Python
