ABOUT THE ROLE

We are seeking a highly detailed, analytical, and solution-oriented person to join our growing team as a Business Process and Technology (BP&T) Manager! This role will lead the management and optimization of our BP&T stack, with a primary focus on Microsoft Dynamics and a secondary support on other critical business systems such as Power BI and our Warehouse Management Systems (WMS). The BP&T Manager must be able to collaborate effectively with internal technical and non-technical stakeholders to ensure the technology supports and enhances business processes while managing system enhancements and providing strategic guidance to improve overall system performance.

As a response to the pandemic, Albert Uster Imports office employees have transitioned to a hybrid working schedule, requiring employees to report in-person Monday through Wednesday, with the option to telework on Thursday and Friday each week. Due to the collaborative, cross-functional nature of the organization, employees at the Gaithersburg office are required to work in-person for the abovementioned days, outside of any People & Culture-approved disability accommodation request.

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • System Management & Optimization: Own and manage the BP&T stack, with a particular focus on Microsoft Dynamics ERP, WMS, and related business applications. Ensure systems are running efficiently and meet the needs of the organization
  • Stakeholder Collaboration: Work closely with internal customers and stakeholders to understand business requirements, provide support, and implement system changes and updates to improve workflows
  • Vendor Management: Manage relationships with external IT vendors, ensuring effective delivery of services, particularly in the areas of system upgrades, patches, and customizations
  • Project Management: Lead system improvement and integration projects, ensuring projects are delivered on time and within budget. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define project scope and objectives
  • Change Management: Act as a change leader, ensuring smooth transitions for all system upgrades and new technology implementations, including training and support for end-users
  • Process Improvement: Continuously seek opportunities to improve processes, enhance system functionality, and increase efficiency through automation and new technologies
  • Support & Troubleshooting: Provide advanced support for Microsoft Dynamics and other core business systems. Troubleshoot and resolve complex system issues in a timely manner
  • Documentation & Compliance: Maintain detailed documentation of system configurations, processes, and workflows. Ensure that all systems are compliant with industry standards and best practices

QUALIFICATION AND SKILLS

Required:

  • Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field
  • 5+ years of experience managing business applications, with a focus on Microsoft Dynamics BC, WMS, or other enterprise systems
  • Strong project management skills with the ability to manage multiple projects and priorities simultaneously
  • Experience working with IT vendors and managing external partnerships
  • Ability to communicate technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders and collaborate effectively across teams
  • Strong problem-solving skills and a proactive approach to process improvement
  • Knowledge of IT compliance standards and best practices
  • Strong attention to detail and analytical skills
  • Self-motivated, with the ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic environment

Preferred

  • Experience in the food distribution or supply chain industry
  • Knowledge of reporting and analytics tools, such as Power BI or similar platforms
  • Familiarity with cloud platforms and integrations

SALARY RANGE

We hire exceptional people to perform a wide variety of important functions that contribute to the success of the Company. One of the ways we do that is through a competitive compensation package. The base salary for this role will be $110,000 - $120,000.

This role will be bonus eligible.

Based on your qualifications, previous experience, and transferrable skills, the Company will determine at its sole discretion, the salary offered.
