We are assisting an established AI company pioneering new approaches to data development find Subject Matter Experts in multiple German fields. Currently we have these expert needs:
German Linguistics
German History
Germanic Mythology
German Literature
German Philosophy
German Film

In these roles, you ll support a research department by developing difficult, domain-specific questions that probe and illuminate the limitations of modern AI models.

This is an exciting opportunity to contribute to cutting-edge approaches to data development!

Schedule

Flexible Schedule: Ideally 8-40 hours per week; 4-12 weeks (US-based)

Assignment length
3 month contract

Requirements
  • Prefer candidates residing in US Central Time Zone
  • Undergraduate Degree, Graduate Degree (holder or candidate), faculty, or professional expert in different German studies, or other relevant discipline
  • An academic or professional focus in German (Linguists, History, Mythology, Literature Philosophy or Film)
  • Recent experience in the field as a
    • Professor/Lecturer/Instructor
    • Graduate Assistant
    • Undergraduate or graduate level teaching assistant
    • Researcher
    • Consultant, adviser, or professional in the field
  • Strong English grammar, writing, editing, and proofreading skills
  • The ability to write clear, thorough yet succinct summaries
  • Attention to detail in reviewing and editing written materials
  • Ability to work asynchronously on tasks and occasionally meet live to discuss the tasks
  • A reliable computer and internet connection
  • A signed NDA and completed background check are required
  • Previous experience in Test Item Writing, Exam Development, Exam Scoring, or AI is a huge plus

Commitment: This is a 4-12 week independent contractor position staffed via our staffing partner. This role will be remote and is ideal for candidates located in U.S. Central time zones and able to work between 8 and 40 hours per week. Workers will be able to set their own schedule.
