Position Overview
Optus, Inc. is looking for a Marketing Communications Specialist who can combine data-driven insights and marketing tactics to achieve compelling and effective campaigns that resonate with clients, prospects, and team members. This position is a critical member of the marketing team and reports to the Director of Marketing. The ideal candidate will be able to work closely with internal teams to discern key objectives and relevant data points to develop strong brand positioning through a multi-channel marketing strategy.

Key Responsibilities
  • Data Analysis and Market Research:
    • Conduct market research to identify target audiences, competitor analysis, and emerging trends.
    • Analyze customer data to understand buying behaviors, demographics, and preferences.
    • Utilize web analytics and CMS tools to track marketing campaign performance and identify areas for optimization.
    • Generate reports and presentations to communicate key findings to stakeholders.
  • Creative Development:
    • Design visually compelling marketing materials, including social media graphics, website banners, email templates, white papers, and presentations.
    • Develop creative concepts for marketing campaigns, incorporating market research and customer insights to create impactful visuals.
    • Collaborate with the Director of Marketing and commercial team to ensure design elements effectively communicate key messaging.
    • Stay up-to-date with design trends and industry best practices.
  • Campaign Development and Implementation:
    • Collaborate with internal teams to develop data-driven marketing campaigns based on insights from analysis.
    • Design and execute A/B testing to optimize campaign performance and identify the most effective creative elements.
    • Monitor campaign performance and make adjustments as needed to achieve desired results.
  • Digital Expertise:
    • Design responsive website layouts and landing pages in Wordpress and HubSpot.
    • Understand the principles of user interface (UI) design and apply them to digital marketing materials.
  • Brand Consistency:
    • Ensure all marketing materials maintain a cohesive brand identity across all platforms.
    • Manage brand style guides to ensure consistency in visual elements and messaging.

Required Skills
  • Design Skills: Proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign), strong visual communication skills, typography, color theory, and layout design.
  • Marketing Knowledge: Understanding of marketing principles, customer segmentation, campaign development, and digital marketing channels.
  • Analytical Skills: Ability to interpret data, measure marketing campaign performance, and make data-driven marketing decisions.
  • Collaboration: Excellent communication and teamwork skills to work effectively within the marketing team, sales, and other departments.
  • Project Management: Ability to manage multiple marketing projects simultaneously, meet deadlines, and prioritize tasks.

Basic Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Graphic Design, Communications, or a related field
  • 5+ years of experience in marketing or graphic design, with a focus on technology
  • Proven track record of developing and executing successful marketing campaigns
  • Experience with event coordination, digital marketing, and data analysis
  • Experience using WordPress, HubSpot, Salesforce, and Apollo
  • Experience using Adobe Creative Suite (Illustrator, InDesign, Photoshop)
  • Experience using Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
  • Exceptional collaboration and project management skills
