Job Description: Project Manager/Program Manager

Location: Salem, OR - Hybrid

Duration: 6+ Months Contract

Interview Mode: Virtual and In-Person

Key Responsibilities:

  • Facilitate technical reviews, ensuring all processes, policies, and operations align with project requirements.
  • Ensure the completion of project documents and artifacts according to PMBOK standards and best practices.
  • Coordinate with Project Sponsors, client teams, and external stakeholders to ensure project alignment.
  • Organize and lead technical teams in collaboration with the agency, vendors, and project team.
  • Track and report on the progress of project deliverables to the project sponsors, steering committee, and team members.
  • Manage project scope, technical activities, and schedule, ensuring timely delivery.
  • Coordinate quality assurance reviews for technical deliverables.
  • Manage technical issues, risks, and change control processes effectively.
  • Implement risk management strategies and enforce change control processes.
  • Serve as a mentor to project members and stakeholders, employing PROSCI organizational change management methodologies.
  • Promote effective working relationships and collaboration across all project teams.

Required Qualifications:

  • Mastery in project management with experience leading complex, high-risk IT-related projects.
  • Extensive experience using project management tools, processes, and templates.
  • Strong knowledge of PMBOK standards and best practices.
  • Proven experience with project portfolio management and IT Investment Management.
  • Demonstrated ability to work with senior government officials and high-level stakeholders.
  • Expertise in risk management, issue tracking, and change control processes.
  • Familiarity with organizational change management methodologies, specifically PROSCI.
  • Excellent communication and team coordination skills.

Preferred Skills:

  • Experience in statewide IT project management.
  • Ability to mentor project teams and manage technical reviews efficiently.
  • Strong organizational and leadership skills, with the ability to handle multiple high-priority projects simultaneously.
  • Experience with government project management tools and processes.

Work Environment:

This position will involve both remote and on-site work at client headquarters in Salem, Oregon. Flexibility to work virtually and attend in-person meetings as needed is required.
