This job description outlines a position that focuses on supporting and maintaining functionality related to Oracle E-Business Suite, with a specialization in Supply Chain Management. Role Summary:
The primary goal of this position is to develop, maintain, and deploy Oracle E-Business Suite-related functionalities that enhance business processes and effectiveness. You will work closely with business customers and the technical team, focusing on improving Oracle Supply Chain Management capabilities.
Key Responsibilities:
- Business Requirements Gathering: Identify business needs and align them with Oracle's capabilities and possible customizations.
- Oracle Capabilities Development: Design, test, and implement new configurations and capabilities.
- Problem-Solving: Investigate and resolve Oracle E-Business Suite functionality, data, and interface issues.
- Business Process Improvement: Collaborate with business customers to explore new capabilities and enhancements.
- Recommendations and Documentation: Assist in creating business cases, estimates, and recommendations for new functionalities. Document system changes and support processes according to company standards.
- Testing and Integration: Ensure that unit, system, and user acceptance testing aligns with business needs by collaborating with infrastructure and development teams.
- User Training: Provide orientation and training for Oracle end users when necessary.
Key Skills and Requirements:
- Functional vs. Technical Expertise: 25% functional, 75% technical.
- Oracle E-Business Suite Experience: Functional configuration experience in at least one module like AR, GL, FA, or Projects and Grants (preferably R12.2+).
- Technical Competence:
- Strong SQL/PL-SQL and debugging skills.
- Familiarity with Oracle APIs, tables, and development best practices.
- Experience with Oracle Reports, BI Publisher, Forms, OAF Extensions, Interfaces, and Workflow.
- Problem-Solving: Ability to investigate and resolve system issues.
- Team Collaboration: Experience working in team settings, with the ability to work independently and set priorities.
- Communication Skills: Ability to communicate effectively with different levels of the organization.
- ERP Experience: Minimum 3 years in ERP-related roles, particularly within Oracle E-Business Suite or a similar environment.
Education and Experience:
- Degree: B.S. in Information Technology, Accounts Payable, or a related field (or equivalent experience).
- Years of Experience: Minimum 3 years in ERP-related roles, particularly with Oracle E-Business Suite.
Preferred Knowledge:
- Oracle Cloud Technologies, Oracle Analytics Cloud, and experience with modern ERP technologies.
