About the Team

Creativity is at the heart of TikTok, from our community to our brand. The Brand and Creative team, a global marketing center of excellence, oversees all consumer campaigns to ensure world-class, consistent communications. We're seeking an experienced and talented Creative Director with a copywriting background to join us in Los Angeles.

About the Role
This role will lead creative development for brand and product campaigns globally, with a focus on the Americas, guiding agencies from ideation to production. The ideal candidate is a strong communicator, able to clearly articulate ideas and engage in productive debates. Responsibilities
- Creative leadership: serve as the primary point of contact for cross-functional internal teams and external creative agencies, providing guidance to ensure high-quality and on-brand deliverables.
- Strategic oversight: collaborate closely with the Marketing team to develop compelling creative briefs and execute creative strategies that enhance TikTok's brand trust.
- Copywriting excellence: oversee and refine the copywriting process, ensuring all messaging is clear, engaging, and true to TikTok's voice.
- Brand consistency: maintain consistency in brand messaging across various campaigns and platforms, tailoring content to resonate with diverse audiences, ensuring all ideas align with the brand guidelines.
- Agency collaboration: build strong relationships with creative agencies, fostering an environment of collaboration and innovation.
- Project management: self-manage multiple projects simultaneously, producing efficiently and on schedule.
- Market trends & insights: stay updated on industry trends, competitor activities and consumer behaviors to inform creative decisions and stay ahead of the curve.

Qualifications

Minimum Qualifications
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
- Availability to work in a hybrid model, both in-person and remotely.
- Must be willing to work out of our office in Los Angeles, LA
- Experience in a creative brand or creative strategy role.
- Experience within creative agency, brand creative group or entertainment studio/network creative role.
- A portfolio that showcases previous creative and strategic work.
- Passion for TikTok, the power of the platform, its communities, and the creative possibilities it can unlock.
- Excellent written and verbal communicator, with the ability to solve for complex business problems through compelling creative strategies, breakthrough creative ideas and engaging presentations.

Preferred qualifications
- Experience creating content on or for TikTok.
- Proven track record in leading and delivering successful brand campaigns, preferably within the digital and social media landscape. An online portfolio is a must.
- Ability to articulate creative concepts and strategies clearly to senior executives.
- Strong interpersonal skills and experience working with creative agencies, fostering partnerships that produce outstanding work.

Job Information:

【For Pay Transparency】Compensation Description (annually)

The base salary range for this position in the selected city is $160000 - $225000 annually.

Compensation may vary outside of this range depending on a number of factors, including a candidate’s qualifications, skills, competencies and experience, and location. Base pay is one part of the Total Package that is provided to compensate and recognize employees for their work, and this role may be eligible for additional discretionary bonuses/incentives, and restricted stock units.
