The company has just been acquired and is preparing to execute an aggressive growth strategy through mergers and acquisitions (M&A) as well as organic expansion. The company is seeking an experienced CEO to lead this next phase of growth and deliver strategic results for the organization.

Position Overview

The CEO will be responsible for leading the overall strategy, operations, and growth of the company. This includes executing the PE firm’s vision of growth through M&A, organizational scaling, and integration of newly acquired businesses. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in the transportation industry and a proven track record of growing and transforming businesses in a high-growth environment. As CEO, you will be the key driver in deploying the aggressive growth strategy and aligning the organization with its goals.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead the company’s strategic direction and execution of the aggressive growth strategy, including organic growth and expansion through M&A.
  • Oversee all aspects of operations, ensuring efficiency, profitability, and scalability as the company expands.
  • Drive the integration of newly acquired businesses, optimizing resources, and ensuring alignment with the company’s strategic goals.
  • Collaborate with the PE firm and board of directors to ensure the successful execution of growth initiatives.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with key stakeholders, including investors, partners, clients, and employees.
  • Identify new business opportunities, potential markets, and growth avenues within the transportation sector.
  • Provide leadership and direction to the executive team, fostering a culture of innovation, accountability, and high performance.
  • Ensure financial stability and performance by overseeing financial reporting, budgeting, and resource allocation.
  • Represent the company at industry events, trade shows, and with government bodies to enhance the company's visibility and influence.

Qualifications

  • Extensive experience as a CEO or senior executive in the transportation industry, with a proven track record of delivering growth.
  • Experience in leading and integrating M&A transactions within the transportation or a similar industry.
  • Strong understanding of PE-backed environments and the ability to execute the firm’s growth vision.
  • Exceptional leadership and communication skills, with a history of building and leading high-performance teams.
  • Financial acumen with experience managing budgets, forecasting, and driving profitability.
  • Ability to operate in a fast-paced, dynamic environment with a focus on scalability and operational efficiency.
  • Bachelor’s degree in business, transportation, or a related field; MBA or advanced degree preferred.
