Our award-winning client, a leader in the steel fabrication and erection industry, is seeking a mid-level Estimator to join their team. Established in 1909 and operating across 19 production facilities, this company is known for its capability in delivering complex, large-scale structural projects. This newly created role will report directly to the VP of Sales and Estimating. Position Overview:
The Estimator will be responsible for preparing estimates for structural steel components, conducting detailed take-offs, labor estimates, and reviewing vendor quotes. You will also prepare supporting documentation to create complete estimates and ensure scope compliance with contract documents. Additional responsibilities include reviewing construction plans and assisting in training Estimators-in-Training.

Primary Responsibilities:
Perform computer-aided and hand take-off estimates for structural steel components.
Review construction plans, specifications, and vendor quotes to ensure compliance with project requirements.
Produce estimate summaries, identifying both basic and special requirements for the scope of work.
Work closely with the VP of Sales and Estimating to ensure accurate and timely estimates.
Assist in the training and development of junior estimators.
Must-Have Qualifications:
2-3 years of experience in bridge construction, estimating, or a relevant field.
Understanding of the means and methods of bridge construction.
Experience reviewing construction plans and specifications.
Nice-to-Have Qualifications:
Strong experience reviewing construction drawings.
Proficiency with Bluebeam, Outlook, and other computer tools.
BS in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, or related field (preferred).

Minimum Education: Bachelor's degree (Civil Engineering, Construction Management, or related field preferred).

Education:
