Job Description:

The Salesforce Product Owner will be responsible for driving the strategic direction, execution, and optimization of Salesforce solutions across the organization. This role involves gathering business requirements, collaborating with cross-functional teams, prioritizing the product backlog, and ensuring that Salesforce enhancements are delivered to meet the business needs. The Salesforce Product Owner acts as a bridge between business stakeholders and the technical teams to deliver innovative solutions that optimize business processes.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Product Vision & Strategy:

    • Develop and communicate the product vision for Salesforce, aligning with business objectives and goals.
    • Identify opportunities for process improvements and system enhancements.
    • Stay up-to-date with Salesforce releases and features to leverage new functionalities.
  2. Stakeholder Collaboration:

    • Gather and prioritize requirements from various business units (Sales, Marketing, Customer Support, etc.).
    • Collaborate with key stakeholders to understand their business needs and translate them into technical requirements.
    • Facilitate regular stakeholder meetings to ensure alignment and manage expectations.
  3. Backlog Management:

    • Define and prioritize the product backlog, ensuring that the team is working on the most valuable features.
    • Create detailed user stories with acceptance criteria that provide clear direction for developers.
    • Continuously refine and groom the product backlog based on feedback and changing priorities.
  4. Project Management & Delivery:

    • Work closely with Salesforce developers, administrators, and other IT teams to ensure timely delivery of product increments.
    • Lead sprint planning, daily stand-ups, and sprint reviews, ensuring agile best practices are followed.
    • Monitor and track project progress, managing any risks or issues that arise.
  5. Quality Assurance:

    • Ensure proper testing of Salesforce features and functionalities before deployment.
    • Work with QA teams to define test cases, perform UAT (User Acceptance Testing), and ensure the final product meets business needs.
  6. Data & Reporting:

    • Collaborate with data teams to ensure data integrity, governance, and reporting capabilities in Salesforce.
    • Provide stakeholders with insights and reporting through Salesforce dashboards and reports.
  7. Training & Adoption:

    • Support the roll-out of new Salesforce features and functionalities by providing training to end-users.
    • Create user guides and facilitate training sessions to ensure smooth adoption across the organization.

Qualifications:

  • Education: Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Information Technology, or a related field.
  • Experience:
    • Minimum of 5 years of experience working with Salesforce, including experience as a Product Owner or in a similar role.
    • Strong knowledge of Salesforce CRM, with experience in Sales Cloud, Service Cloud, and Marketing Cloud being preferred.
    • Familiarity with agile methodologies and product management practices.
  • Certifications: Salesforce Administrator, Salesforce Platform App Builder, or Salesforce Certified Product Owner certifications are a plus.

Skills & Competencies:

  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
  • Ability to prioritize and manage multiple projects in a fast-paced environment.
  • Experience with JIRA or other project management tools is preferred.
  • Understanding of software development lifecycle (SDLC) and agile methodologies.
