Risk Data and Reporting Senior Analyst
The Risk Data and Reporting Senior Analyst will drive creation of innovative Business Intelligence solutions to provide senior leaders insight into the identification, management, and monitoring of Comerica's risk management processes. This critical role spans all risk pillars and develops foundational data and reporting capabilities that will enable the Second Line of Defense (2LOD) Risk Function to provide independent and effective risk management challenge. This role will engage with senior management and other key stakeholders to gather requirements, design, and develop a range of solutions from boardroom reports to self-service dashboards. The Data and Reporting Senior Analyst will oversee projects from inception to deployment, ensuring they meet business requirements and deadlines.

The Data and Reporting Senior Analyst will oversee projects from inception to deployment, ensuring they meet business requirements and deadlines.
Position Responsibilities:
Dashboard Development and Reporting
- Leverage Microsoft Power BI to create an engaging reporting environment that meets business requirements and provides actionable insight for 2LOD Risk stakeholders.
- Gather and integrate data from multiple systems to create a common data model in Power BI with advanced (DAX) calculations.
- Design and layout dashboards, discover new design solutions, and continuously identify improvement opportunities.
- Optimize Power BI data models for performance and scalability.
- Advise and guide junior team members on Business Intelligence best practices and support the broader community of practice.
- Influence, implement, and communicate reporting standards across the team.
- Lead escalation and resolution of data, metric, and report issues by identifying the root cause and implementing solutions.
Business Partnership and Information Delivery
- Engage with senior management and other key stakeholders to gather requirements and communicate insight.
- Oversee Business Intelligence projects from inception to deployment, ensuring they meet requirements and deadlines.
- Develop strategic partnerships with key stakeholders in Enterprise Risk, Technology, and Data Management to deliver foundational self-service capabilities across the three lines of defense.
- Drive conversations with business stakeholders to understand analytical needs, explore and assess data, and create effective visualizations that provide insight.
- Provides business logic requirements to Technology and Data project teams to support the expansion of key data assets for broad enterprise use.
- Foster collaboration between teams by organizing and leading working groups and discussions on reporting and analytics.
- Manage changing priorities and obstacles, escalate and address issues hindering delivery by proposing viable solutions.
- Recommends solution reuse to support rapid business decision support.
- Extends existing solution functionality as needed to expand reuse opportunities.
Position Qualifications:
- Bachelor's Degree from an accredited university in Business Information Technology, Data Science, or related field OR, in lieu of a bachelor's degree, a High School Diploma or GED and 6 years of Risk Management or other related experience in the Financial Services Industry
- 6 years of Experience in Business Information Technology, Data Science or a related field pertaining to Data, Reporting or Analytics
- 5 years of Experience working with Power BI, creating data models, measures, and dashboards with compelling visualizations
- 5 years of Strong experience working with SQL, querying, transforming, and integrating data
- 3 years of Experience in Data Wrangling with a tool such as Dataiku, Alteryx, Python, or Power Query
