Position Title: Tanium Subject Matter Expert (SME)
Job Type: Contract
Duration: 6 months (potential for extension)
Pay Rate Range: $95.85/hr to $115/hr
Location: 100% Remote (supporting PST)
Target Start Date: ASAP
Job Summary
We are looking for a skilled Tanium SME to assist with the migration and configuration review of a complex Tanium environment. This role requires a seasoned professional with extensive experience in Tanium, endpoint monitoring, and security tools. The SME will focus on migrating endpoint agents, reviewing existing configurations, and advising on improvements to ensure optimal performance and security.
Key Responsibilities
- Migrate endpoint agents from the legacy Tanium environment to the new setup.
- Conduct a thorough review of the Tanium environments configuration.
- Provide expert recommendations for configuration adjustments and enhancements.
- Optimize the Tanium environment for both performance and security.
- Collaborate with the security team to align Tanium configurations with established security policies.
- Offer ongoing support and troubleshooting throughout the migration process.
Required Skills and Experience
- Extensive experience with Tanium and endpoint monitoring tools.
- Deep understanding of security configurations and baseline monitoring.
- Proven experience managing large-scale endpoint migrations.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
- Excellent communication skills for providing clear recommendations and updates.
Preferred Qualifications
- Prior experience in a similar role within a large organization.
- Certifications in Tanium and related security tools.
- Familiarity with other security tools such as SentinelOne and Defender.
Work Environment
- Fully remote position, candidates can be located anywhere within the U.S. but must be available to support PST hours.
