POSITION SUMMARY

The onsite Senior ERP & Business Systems Analyst based in Yankton, SD will be responsible for collaborating and interfacing with various departments in order to analyze business needs and generate recommendations. This IT expert will manage and implement changes to current systems or processes, that would benefit the organization. The successful candidate will have ERP manufacturing experience along with strong SQL skills.

CORE FUNCTIONS

  • Collaborate with other departments to identify, document, and communicate business needs and provide IT solutions.
  • Translate customer requirements into technical design with the development team.
  • Train department end users in the use of IT software. Work collaboratively with employees across the organization.
  • Plan, analyze, and validate business needs - both functional and technical.
  • Analyze current and future business systems to determine if they align with the company goals and objectives.
  • Plan and facilitate end user documentation and testing.
  • Follow corporate policies and procedures.
  • Deliver reports, dashboards, and other imports and exports.
  • Use business and technical expertise to function as a liaison between users and IT.
  • Review, analyze, evaluate, and implement user needs to create system solutions that support overall business strategies.
  • Create system specifications that drive system development and implementation.

QUALIFICATIONS & REQUIREMENTS

Education and Experience

  • Bachelor s degree in Computer Science or a related field is required.
  • 4+ years of experience as a Business Analyst is required.
  • 4+ years of experience utilizing ERP systems is required, specifically in manufacturing.
  • 4+ years of SQL experience is required.
  • Previous experience in development and maintaining work instructions and end-user manuals is required.
  • Experience in the entire SDLC lifecycle is required.
  • Experience in creating functional design documents is required.
  • Infor Visual experience is strongly preferred.
  • Experience working in a manufacturing environment.

Skills, Abilities, and Knowledge

  • Excellent interpersonal skills and ability to interact effectively with a broad spectrum of team members.
  • Excellent documentation (project deliverables and functional spec.) and customer service skills.
  • Excellent organizational skills with the ability to team with others to implement complex projects.
  • Understanding of core systems such as ERP, WMS, and EDI. Strong SQL knowledge.
  • Strong understanding of one or more business processes such as order-to-cash, procurement-to-pay, scheduling/shop floor, warehousing, etc.
  • Broad knowledge of data processing systems, concepts, and methodologies.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.
  • Ability to map current-state and future-state processes.
  • Working knowledge of Microsoft Project, Office, and Visio.
  • Strong analytical, critical thinking, and problem-solving skills.

Travel

  • Occasional travel may be required; 20% or less

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS

  • This position is subject to sedentary work; Exerting up to 10 pounds of force occasionally and/or a negligible amount of force frequently or constantly to lift, carry, push, pull or otherwise move objects. Sedentary work involved sitting most of the time. Walking and standing are required only occasionally.

  • This position is subject to the following physical activities: talking, hearing, and the use of hands and wrists in a repetitive motion.

Visual Acuity

  • The worker is required to have close visual acuity to perform an activity such as preparing and analyzing data and figures; transcribing; viewing a computer terminal; expansive reading; visual inspection involving small defects, small parts and/or operation of machines (including inspection); using measurement devices; and/or assembly of fabrication of parts at distances close to the eyes.

  • This position operates in a professional office environment. This role routinely uses standard office equipment.
