Senior Desktop Engineer w/ Intune

hybrid 3 days onsite and 2 days remote w/ flexibility

SALARY: $120K $140K PLUS BONUS ($1.2K - $10K)

The team is transitioning to Intune and MacOS. Must have experience with Intune and MAC configuring laptops. Level 3 complex configurations and troubleshooting. MacOS support of JAMF PowerShell scripting 500-1000 users Windows 10 or 11, WMI registry log files and events

There is an on call rotation, you can either be assigned to primary or secondary, every four weeks. Primary - First responders and Secondary - Second responders, if first responders don't not pick up. (Very infrequent to come across escalations)

Position can grow into an Architecture or Manager level role, a smart team, and a hiring manager concerned with career pathing.

This team configures laptops (they do not set up laptops, rather configure). They deploy all updates to the firm, package software, computer management, responsible for all policy and settings for managing devices and more. There are three levels of helpdesk at Sidley, Service Desk level 1, Deskside level 2 and this team, Level three which consists of complex configurations, set up and troubleshooting.

Ideal Candidate:
o Collaborative and concerned with the user experience, above just the technology.
o MacOS experience, experience providing support with configuring in JAMF.
o Someone that has experience using Intune on a daily basis would be of great value.
o Experienced writing PowerShell scripts - plus
o BA is preferred, but not required.
o 7 years of experience across an enterprise sized company (500-1,000 s of computers/users)
o 7 years of MacOS/Windows (a mix is acceptable) Windows 10 or 11
o Experience with using WMI, registry, log files, events, and in-place upgrades

o Many people that apply for this role have used InTune, JAMF, but don t know the ins and out. Using the tool is not enough, they must be able to configure with the tools, and be in the weeds, ex. know how to set up InTune, or roll out JAMF.
o A candidate with experience transitioning a company to InTune is great, especially with experience in AutoPilot,
Upcoming Projects:
o MacOS initiative, we have never managed MAC in the past, so we are putting them on the network and creating a MacOS house, ground floor OS standing up Mac Management
o Windows 11 is coming next year, which is a project that is kicking off and we are transitioning to Autopilot instead of imaging.
o We are in the infancy stages of Code Management
o We are Transitioning from group policies to Intune, and want to grow the possibilities.
o Sidley is looking to get a remote managing and monitoring (RMM) tool next year, to manage system devices remotely. Any systems suggestions are welcomed. RMM.
