As a Deputy Assistant National Cyber Director for Strategic Risk, GS-0301-15, your typical work assignments may include the following:
- Plans, directs, and coordinates the development and implementation of overarching national cybersecurity policy, including matters focused on improving operational cybersecurity outcomes and stemming campaigns from malicious actors through organizational or geopolitical measures; mitigating system-wide cyber risk, including by harmonization of cybersecurity requirements, broad-based regulation, insurance, and imposing or limiting liability; and ONCD's international policy work, including with respect to the development of norms of responsible state behavior in cyberspace.
- Leads, coordinates, and participates in special interagency studies, analyses, and policy papers on cybersecurity strategy and other related policy matters of immediate concern to senior ONCD officials.
- Oversees a team that maintains oversight and assesses effectiveness of department and agency policies that relate to national cybersecurity.
- Performs a full range of first-level supervisory responsibilities.
