Chemical Engineer
This exciting role will involve designing and developing complete product designs from the prototype to the manufacturing phase of production. A solid understanding of chemical engineering R&D and experience working in a process development environment will be needed to be successful in this role. They are headquartered in the Butte, MT area. The company is an R&D and OEM manufacturer that designs products and technologies for mixing and processing solutions. Responsibilities:
  • Development of advanced acoustic mixing technology and equipment. Issues to be evaluated include mixing, mass transport, heat transfer, scaling, process control, and process optimization. Research and development work will include batch, continuous batch, and continuous mixing processes.
  • Familiar with various designs of mixing processes including solid-solid, liquid-solid, and liquid-liquid systems. Understanding mixing fundamentals and design parameters for conventional mixing processes is essential.
  • Create project requirements to resolve product/process problems and to support the development of new products/processes, initiate technical investigations, and prepare protocols.
  • Write reaction protocols, research reports, prepare grant proposals, and occasionally present work in a team setting and to customers, clients, investors, government organizations, and collaborators.
  • Experience in the energetics, pharmaceuticals, batteries/energy storage, or other contemporary industrial processes industry is preferred.
  • Industrial process knowledge and passion for conducting research and development with the goal of new product commercialization are required.
Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree in Chemical engineering is required (Master s or PhD is preferred)
  • 5+ years of relevant experience in chemical and process engineering
  • Prior experience working in an OEM or R&D manufacturing environment is preferred
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Occasional international travel will be required
Salary Range:
  • $75,000-125,000 depending on experience
