Job Title: Material Program Planner


Science, Engineering, Management Solutions LLC (Sem-Sol) is a small business in Albuquerque, NM on the forefront of science and industry. Our skilled scientists, engineers and technicians specialize in directed energy and pulsed power systems and use advanced technology to develop innovative solutions for a range of Department of Defense agencies and commercial industries.


Sem-Sol is seeking a full-time Material Program Planner. The successful candidate will be self-motivated, organized, and work well in a busy team environment.


Duties will include, but are not limited to:


Reviewing mechanical drawings and electrical schematics for Program Material needs.


Obtaining quotes for raw and fabricated materials, supplies, and services.


Work with technical teams to determine material needs, material budgets, and lead times.


Obtain multiple quotes and ensure sole source documentation is complete and adequate.


Locate and qualify vendors as well as work non-conforming parts issues.


Update status of parts and materials using electronic systems, identify, report and assist with procurement concerns to ensure availability of items.


Evaluate quotes and negotiate pricing and terms for purchased goods and services.


Assist with tracking and expediting purchases.


Arrange assembly schedules and perform or assist with parts kitting.


Perform with inventory counts.


Work with scheduler to ensure program material needs are scheduled appropriately.


Required Qualifications:


Bachelor s Degree


3-5+ years related experience in functional areas of Supply Chain, Engineering or Project Management.


Working knowledge of U.S. Government acquisition regulations and laws (FAR and DFAR).


Experience with import and export laws (ITAR and EAR).


Desired Skills/Experience/Qualifications:


Deltek Costpoint experience
