Role: Computer Technician ( Hybrid) Local to San Francisco, CA FTE
Summary: Your position will be as a tech representative who serves as the primary on-site technician for our clients and provides them with diagnoses and an optimized problem resolution.
What you will do:
Occasionally travel up to a 50-mile radius within the Bay Area to troubleshoot our customers' issues.
Provide clients with a primary, diagnostic incident response, and an initial level triage of reported issues.
Understanding of hardware as well as network design, configuration and installation of various network equipment such as routers, switches and firewalls.
Be able to identify and communicate issues to a higher staff member when necessary.
Document and report to senior management every task performed as soon as new processes or procedures are implemented.
What is Required:
Previous experience working in the MSP industry is a MUST!
Ability to think out of the box. MSP industry is significantly different from corporate IT. There's no universal script for one organization, because there are 100 of those organizations under one roof.
Experience working with network systems and networking in general.
Experience working with Win-based hardware (PC and servers).
Some experience with physical cabling in a raised-floor environment, cable management (testing, troubleshooting, etc.).
Ability to convey a strong presence, professional image, and deal confidently with complex technical problems.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to interact with team members and support personnel.
Ability to anticipate problems, resolve any client ambiguity and take decisive action to help.
Ability to lift up to 40 lbs, enter and work under a 3 or 4 foot raised floor.
Ability to work independently as well as part of a team.
Clean driver license and driving experience. Owning a car is a must.
